Quick update on this, @DTS Engineer. It seems the problem correlates with invocation via QR code. When opening App Clip via link it works. Interesting find: if opened once via link click first, it also works via QR code invocation afterwards. Even different App Clips, unrelated to the initial one. It seems once innvocated via link click, it saves something behind-the-scenes that lets other App Clips open also via QR code invocation. Does this help? We're really in need for a fix as our users are complaining a lot. App Clips is a crucial feature our users are paying for. Thanks.

Because AnchorEntity is just a subclass of Entity that conforms to HasAnchoring which requires an AnchoringComponent I think it has always been this way as entities were always nestable.
