Yeah I ended up venting here after talking with support. Also lowkey hoping to find a way to get to data. The touchpad malfunctioned and ran out of attempts for unlock tries, phone was disabled. I get this part. But what I got to know from support is, right now, the phone's data is not erased but the only way to open the phone (in my case, it is to access the data) would be by restoring the phone, and restoring in itself deletes everything on the device. So it is a pointless route. iCloud backup had been pushed back for some time before this happened, didn't expect to totally lose the contents as long as the phone stayed with us.
