I can confirm this issue on a iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 16.0 and iOS iOS 16.2 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/721858 It works fine on iPhone X with iOS 15.7

Unfortunately, you seem to be right. This is quite an annoying bug in SwiftUI.
