Reply to Orphaned 9GB Simulator Runtime in /System/Library/AssetsV2 - Cannot Delete (SIP protected)
25GB of iOS 18.0, 18.1, 18.2 simulator asset data revealed by DaisyDisk brought me to this thread. I had used Xcode > Components to delete the other installed platforms. Gone, I thought. But nope, files still there. Thanks to folks who sugested : xcrun simctl runtime scan-and-mount -- the images were re-mounted. I used xcrun to delete them. Poof. Gone. But not gone. :( After another scan-and-mount, deleted from Xcode. Poof. Gone... But not gone. :( So am I reading that I need to disable SIP and then manually rm the folders?
