I encountered the same white bar above the status bar when nesting NavigationSplitView inside TabView(.sidebarAdaptable) (still reproducible on iPadOS 27). Applying .ignoresSafeArea(edges: .top) directly to the NavigationSplitView completely fixed it without breaking insets or toolbar items on either iPad or iPhone: NavigationSplitView { SidebarView() } detail: { DetailView() } .ignoresSafeArea(edges: .top)
