Thank you, @jhrireland. You say you resolved it "with Claude advice". Do you mean to say that Claude actually suggested this workaround? How could it POSSIBLY have arrived at such a seemingly arbitrary solution?

Thank you, @JLipsit! Every time there's a hang I try to find the offending command and whitelist it in Xcode > Settings > Intelligence > Permissions > Allowed Commands. But the list keeps growing even though it's up to over 80 commands. Also there are these issues: I can't know in advance the commands the coding agent might execute. So each new command is borne of an actual crash. Should I really whitelist rm?! Sometimes the offending command isn't even visible on the screen.

Thank you, Albert! Xcode was NOT listed in Developer Tools. The only one there was Terminal.app, and it was switched off. I switched it on as well. I added Xcode.app and switch it on. Xcode did not have Full Disk Access either, so I added that. I'll see if the crashes continue!

My concern is with simulators, not physical devices. Thank you for that clarifying question. I just submitted feedback FB23226346.
