it's 2024 and have the same exact issue with my iPadPro (2018) 12.9" (Cellular + WiFi) on iPadOS18 (clean vanilla config no Apple account, all default settings) I, too, saw it show up in the Finder before I put it into DFU mode - now nothing on a 2020 MacBookPro (M1) or 2017 iMac (13.7.1) Did either of you happen to figure this out?
