I opted for a docking station...and a 65W power supply from Apple and it seems to work fine. What is supplied, if I remember correctly 30W, is not enough for the Macbook Air m1.

I have the same situation as you only in the installation phase. It reaches 28 minutes after which it freezes and does not continue..
