It remains unresolved as of the final public releases of Xcode 26.2 (17C52) and iOS Simulator (1062.1) 26.2 (23C54) from the Apple Developer - Software Downloads page and App Store.

Noticed this issue on 26.2. Clean install of macOS and Xcode. Also seems to cause apps built from Xcode to letterbox. I have filed a feedback for this: FB21342915 Xcode 26.2 (24553) (Build 17C52) macOS Version 26.2 (Build 25C56)
