Since the update, the student materials that can be downloaded from the book do not open in xcode 12. When I try to open a downloaded file (I've tried redownloding, too), after several minutes I get a message saying
XCODE QUIT UNEXPECTEDLY

Which book exactly ?
Which version of Xcode 12 (version number)
Could you provide the link to the download you try ?

Thanks.

I downloaded the material and opened Lab - Classes.playground with XCode 12 (12GM Version 12.0 (12A7208)) with no problem.
I tried also to open Lab - Collections.playground with Version 12.2 beta (12B5018i). It works as well.

It works the same way as in XCode 11.

I did not experienced any forced Quit.

Note: to see code, I had to tap on the link at the bottom of the page, not very intuitive.

You likely need an xcode update. This happened to me after I installed BigSur. After updating xcode it worked again.
