Experience with Siri AI.
Apple Intelligence Writing Tools has disappeared on my Mac running 27b1 after enabling Siri AI. Is this a known issue? [FB23072747]
Quick thoughts after 30 minutes of use:
- I can't get Siri AI sync to work between mac and iPhone. Maybe that isn't a working feature yet.
- Wow, the answers are great so far. Go Apple/Google!
- Siri AI interface isn't bad but a bunch of broken stuff
- Copy links say "copied" when you click but it doesn't get copied to clipboard
- Paste of images into Siri AI interface work but the interface fails to preview the pasted images so it looks like you don't have anything pasted (but paste actually worked)
I'll amend the last comment- syncing is working now, magically. Just took a while, oddly. Syncs to Macs and iPhone.
I've submitted a feedback for the copy issue

Although it isn't very clear at all, I believe that Writing Tools has actually been completely replaced with Siri AI and the new "Write With Siri" feature.
Write With Siri automatically proofreads your text as you write it, so that would replace the "Proofread" tool. Everything else would be replaced by Siri AI. With on-screen awareness, Siri can now (in theory) be used to change whatever you're writing. If I am correct, you should now be able to say, "Hey Siri, make this sound more friendly" or "Make this more concise," thus rendering Writing Tools unnecessary and allowing Apple to remove them.
Although (as to the extent of my knowledge) Apple did not explicitly state that Writing Tools will be integrated with Siri AI, not only would it be a huge oversight to have them be completely missing in iOS 27's beta, but also they did not even appear in the WWDC26 Keynote and appeared to be replaced with Siri AI in Apple's demos.

My experience with Siri AI on iOS 27 Beta has been a bit unusual so far because I haven't actually been able to use the new Siri properly yet.
I'm using an iPhone 17 Pro, and while the option to enable the new Siri appeared, the activation process seems to be stuck. The setup completes, and the settings switch to "Siri (Beta)," but when I activate Siri, I still get the old Siri interface instead of the new Apple Intelligence version.
I also noticed that opening siri:// through Safari launches the new Siri app, but it displays a message saying that the Siri update is still in progress and that adding support for Siri hasn't completed yet. My device is still completing some background setup tasks, but the activation itself seems to be stuck.
From what I've seen in various community discussions, I'm definitely not the only one experiencing this. Some users remain on the waitlist for a long time, while others appear to be enrolled but still can't access the new Siri features properly.
Other than this Siri-related issue, iOS 27 Beta has been running surprisingly well on my iPhone 17 Pro. Performance, battery life, and general stability have been good in my experience. At this point, I'm hoping a future beta update resolves whatever is preventing the new Siri from activating correctly.
