I tried with VSUserAccountManager.shared.requestAutoSignInAuthorization(). It did prompt a popup but with errors.
I do have 'com.apple.smoot.subscriptionservice' configured in the entitlement. I don't know what's happened? Could you help me out.

Since iOS 18.3.1, In lower iOS versions it works fine though.
QLPreviewController shows a blank white screen instead of showing the document. Additionally, it does not display the 'Done' option at the top-right to close the view.
Presenting the QLPreviewController works fine to display the document, but for the second time, it renders the blank white screen as described.
While launching QLPreviewControllerView for the first time. I'm receiving the following message in the console and it displays the document.
LaunchServices: store (null) or url (null) was nil: Error Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=-54 "process may not map database" UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=process may not map database, _LSLine=72, _LSFunction=_LSServer_GetServerStoreForConnectionWithCompletionHandler}

Closing the QLPreviewController with the help of the 'Done' option from top-right or swipe to close triggers the following message in the console.

Trying to open he document again, Ultimately results in the white blank screen to be displayed with no options to close.
It displays the Navigation bar only for the fraction of time. Leading users to force close the app and start again.
Hello,
I would like to ask if there is any possibility to invoke the Apple Sysdiagnose via an API call. I cannot find any API reference for Sysdiagnose.
I am aware only about the manually invocation. https://it-training.apple.com/tutorials/support/sup075/
However, this is pretty annoying since a reproduction of a hunted bug takes several hours, so I am looking for the way how to invoke Sysdiagnose from our code.
We are developing an iOS app to connect to vehicles and trigger predefined vehicle controls (door lock/unlock) via the Digital Key framework.
We are currently blocked on several aspects and would appreciate your expertise to clarify the following queries.
How can we list down connected vehicle information?
What is the method to retrieve connection status?
How can we perform vehicle control actions (e.g., door lock/unlock)?
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Starting the CarKeyRemoteControlSession to Fetch Vehicle Reports
Currently, we are using the following API to start a CarKeyRemoteControlSession:
open class func start(
delegate: any CarKeyRemoteControlSessionDelegate,
subscriptionRange subscriptionFunctionIDRange: ClosedRange? = nil,
with delegateCallbackQueue: DispatchQueue? = nil
) async throws -> CarKeyRemoteControlSession
After successfully creating the session, we check for vehicle reports using the vehicleReports property of CarKeyRemoteControlSession:
public var vehicleReports: [VehicleReport] { get throws }

Hi Team,
We are encountering issues while implementing the live translation feature in our VoIP application using CallKit on iOS 26.0. Specifically, we are attempting to use the CXSetTranslatingCallAction transaction to enable translation programmatically during an active call.
However, executing this transaction results in the following error:
"Couldn't communicate with a helper application."
This occurs consistently when we attempt to trigger the translation setup without user interaction. We are seeking clarification on the following points:
Is it possible to enable CallKit's live translation feature using CXSetTranslatingCallAction purely programmatically, without requiring the user to interact with the system-provided Call UI?
What does the above error indicate in the context of CXSetTranslatingCallAction? Are there specific conditions, entitlements, or background service requirements that must be fulfilled to communicate with CallKit?
Code snippet:
let translationAction = CXSetTranslatingCallAction(call: callUUID, isTranslating: true, localLocale: Locale.init(identifier: "es-ES"), remoteLocale: Locale(identifier: "en-US"))
let transaction = CXTransaction(action: translationAction)
callController.request(transaction)
We would deeply appreciate any guidance you can provide regarding the feasibility of our approach and how to address this error.
Thank you for your support.
I'm unable to have stickers show in messages even with a new iOS app and a sticker pack extension target.
I do see the iMessage App Icon but after tapping it nothing shows and I see a warning: "Error creating the CFMessagePort needed to communicate with PPT"
This was tested on simulator and on real device.

Hello everyone,
I’m currently developing an app that uses the Family Controls API, specifically the Screen Time API. However, my current entitlement is limited to development mode, which prevents me from publishing my app on TestFlight.
I have already contacted Apple Developer Support for production access but wanted to reach out to the community as well and I was referenced to FamilyControls API documentation and I couldn't find anything related to my case. Has anyone successfully upgraded their entitlement from development-only to production? Any insights on the process, tips for communicating with Developer Support, or guidance on ensuring full compliance with the Family Controls guidelines would be extremely helpful.
I'm encountering what appears to be a specific precedence behavior with ManagedSettingsStore.shield and would appreciate some further clarification.
My current understanding is that category-level shields take precedence over individual app allowances.
My test involved...
Using FamilyActivityPicker to select
a single target application (e.g., "Calculator," which falls under the "Utilities" category).
Using FamilyActivityPicker again to select
the category of that target application.
I applied shields using ManagedSettingsStore (named .individual):
store.shield.applicationCategories = .specific(Set([utilitiesCategoryToken]))
store.shield.applications = Set([calculatorApplicationToken])
Result:
The calculator app remains shielded, suggesting that the category-level shield on Utilities overrides the attempt to allow the individual app. I also tried this using a single picker, but received only the category token instead of all application tokens in that category.
Is this observed precedence (where store.shield.applicationCategories effectively overrides store.shield.applications for apps within the shielded category) the intended behavior?
If so, are there any mechanisms available within the main app's capabilities (potentially using a Device Activity Report Extension or Shield Extension) to allow a specific ApplicationToken if its corresponding ActivityCategoryToken is part of the store.shield.applicationCategories set?
Essentially, can store.shield.applications be used to create "allow exceptions" for individual apps that fall into an otherwise shielded category?
Additionally, I mentioned that selecting an entire category in the picker only returns the opaque category token, not any application tokens. Is there any way in which I could return both the category and all application tokens by just selecting the category?
Any insights or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Hello,
I’m developing an app to detect movement past a strong magnet, targeting both Android and iOS. On Android, I’m using the Sensor API, which provides calibrated readings with temperature compensation, factory (or online) soft-iron calibration, and online hard-iron calibration. The equivalent on iOS appears to be the CMCalibratedMagneticField data from the CoreMotion framework.
However, I’m encountering an issue with the iOS implementation. The magnetometer data on iOS behaves erratically compared to Android. While Android produces perfectly symmetric peaks, iOS shows visual peaks that report double the magnetic field strength. Additionally, there’s a "pendulum" effect: the field strength rises, drops rapidly, rises again to form a "double peak" structure, and takes a while to return to the local Earth magnetic field average. The peaks on iOS are also asymmetric.
I’m wondering if this could be due to sensor fusion algorithms applied by iOS, which might affect the CMCalibratedMagneticField data. Are there other potential reasons for this behavior? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hey folks!
I'm working on a macOS app which has a Finder Quick Action extension. It's all working fine, but I'm hitting a weird struggle with getting the icon rendering how I would like, and the docs haven't been able to help me.
I want to re-use a custom SF Symbol from my app, so I've copied that from the main app's xcassets bundle to the one in the extension, and configured it for Template rendering.
The icon renders in the right click menu in Finder, the Finder preview pane and the Extensions section of System Settings, but all of them render with the wrong colour in dark mode. In light mode they look fine, but in dark mode I would expect a templated icon to be rendered in white, not black.
I've attached a variety of screenshots of the icons in the UI and how things are set up in Xcode (both for the symbol in the xcassets bundle, and the Info.plist)
I tried reading the docs, searching Google, searching GitHub and even asking the dreaded AI, but it seems like there's not really very much information available about doing icons for Finder extensions, especially ones using a custom SF Symbol, so I would love to know if anyone here has been able to solve this in the past!

Hi,
My app is going to consist of 2-3 pages of weather data. Do I have to add the Apple Weather logo to each page, or just the main one?
Thanks,

Is CallKit still not available in certain countries? like China? If it is, is there a way to get a list of countries?
I'm currently finding it impossible to get a text filtering extension to be invoked when there's an incoming text message.
There isn't a problem with the app/extension because this is the same app and code that is already developed, tested, and unchanged since I last observed it working.
I know if there's any history of the incoming number being "known" then the extension won't get invoked, and I used to find this no hindrance to testing previously provided that:
the incoming number isn't in contacts
there's no outgoing messages to that number
there's no outgoing phone calls to the number.
This always used to work in the past, but not anymore.
However, I've ensured the incoming text's number isn't in contacts, in fact I've deleted all the contacts.
I've deleted the entire phone history, incoming and outgoing, and I've also searched in messages and made sure there's no interactions with that number.
There's logging in the extension so I can see its being invoked when turned on from the settings app, but its not getting invoked when there's a message.
The one difference between now and when I used to have no problem with this - the phone now has iOS 18.5 on it.
Its as if in iOS 18.5 there ever was any past association with a text number, its not impossible to remove that association.
Has there been some known change in 18.5 that would affect this call filtering behavior and not being able to rid of the incoming message caller as being "known" to the phone?
Update
I completely reset the phone and then I was able to see the the message filter extension being invoked. That's not an ideal situation though.
What else needs to be done beyond what I mentioned above in order to get a phone to forget about a message's number and thus get an message filtering extension to be invoked when there's a message from that number?
My use case is a Repeat Timer app.
The user can configure a repeating timer, say:
8 minutes with 3 sets
So I would like to configure either 3 alarms (8mins, 16mins, 24mins) or a repeating alarm (8mins every 3 mins)
BUT...
I would like the first and second alarms to break through but only for 5 seconds for example, and then stop (so the user doesn't need to tap the screen to silence the alarm).
I don't think this is possible after reading the API docs, but am asking the question anyway.
Thanks for any advice or guidance here, and happy WWDC!

Is there any way to use the screen time API on Mac?
We are using VZVirtualMachine instances in a Swift actor. It works fine but we hit a major problem when we decided that we want to attach it to a VZVirtualMachineView to show it / allow user interactions.
VZVirtualMachineView and its virtualMachine property is isolated to @MainActor, so if we directly assign our vm instance to it, we receive a concurrency error:
@MainActor
public func createView() -> VZVirtualMachineView {
let view = VZVirtualMachineView()
view.virtualMachine = vm // x: Actor-isolated property 'vm' can not be referenced from the main actor
return view
}
Is there any way we can make this work?
I’m creating an app with the Screen Time API and I would like to know how to make the app show a parental control editing view for parents and a view for child accounts that shows which apps are blocked. How can I do this?
We developing a app called Parentgeenee. It's a Parental control app having any limitations on app block from child mobile. Trying to block more than 500 apps but not blocking if any particular method to block a bulk apps.

I need to display a different app name based on the user's region/language. This setup works correctly for regions like the United Kingdom, Australia. However, for Singapore, the app always falls back to the UK version (en-GB) instead of picking the localized name defined under en-SG. Interestingly, system alerts like location permission and app deletion do use the en-SG localization correctly.
Could you help identify why the app name isn't picking up the en-SG version and suggest how we can resolve this?
If I run an app with a message filter extension, it's triggered for all the prepaid unknown numbers and its not triggered for all the unknown postpaid numbers. Any idea, how to trigger for postpaid unknown numbers?.
