All transaction in my current entitlement returns as .unverified
Im building a small iphone app with StoreKit and currently testing it in testflight right on my mac, not on iphone. StoreKit part almost exactly copied from SKDemo from one of the Apple's WWDC. For some users and for myself Transaction.currentEntitlements always returns .unverified results. I double-checked Apple Connect settings, i checked my internet connection and everything is fine. Is there some pitfalls for testflight on mac? How can I find out what is causing this problem?

In-App Purchase Failing
hello, I have an app with In-App purchase set up, it works fine in TestFlight on an iOS device but the download from the App Store gives me a transaction failed message. I tried to replicate in the simulator but from what I've read is that you can't do in-app purchase testing in the simulator. Perhaps I'm wrong here but I've tried multiple sandbox accounts, etc.. and still get an unusual "...password can't be reused..." error (pasted below) in the debug description. I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this scenario and if so how did you go about researching/identifying the issue and/or resolving it. Consolidate subscriptions between apps
Because of historical reasons we have the same app with different bundle identifiers in different App Stores, e. g. one in Germany and one in Poland and one in France. Every app offers a monthly and a yearly in app subscription. We want to consolidate our apps and user base and want to have only one app in the end. The question is now: Can Apple make the monthly/daily subscriptions from e. g. the app in the store in Poland available or migrate them to the german app in the german App Store when we make the "german" app available also in Poland? The final goal would be that a user who bought a subscription in the polish store would have the subscription also available on his Apple ID in the german store. Is this possible? Can Apple make this possible?

Subscription upgrade during trial with a pending crossgrade: does remaining trial time get forfeited and is the prior plan refunded?
I’m implementing subscriptions and running tests, and I noticed a behavior I’d like to confirm. Plans in the app Basic — Monthly Basic — Annual Premium — Monthly Premium — Annual Test environment Sandbox (where ~1 day ≈ under 1 minute of real time) steps Start Basic (Monthly) using an introductory offer (free trial). Create a crossgrade to Basic (Annual) (scheduled/queued). After receiving a RENEWAL App Store Server Notification indicating the plan will move from trial to paid Basic (Annual), but before the trial actually expires, upgrade the user to Premium (Monthly). Observed behavior (Sandbox) & questions Even though there is still up to ~1 day of trial remaining (≈ under 1 minute in Sandbox), upgrading to Premium (Monthly) immediately ends the trial and activates the paid Premium plan right away. Will this same behavior occur in Production? If yes, is this the expected/acceptable behavior when upgrading during an active trial after a pending crossgrade? Note: If we upgrade to Premium before the RENEWAL notification arrives, the remaining trial time is carried over in our tests. In this flow, we see a RENEWAL notification for Basic (Annual) (moving from trial → paid), but then the user immediately upgrades to Premium (Monthly) and the trial ends at that moment. In Production, would the charge for Basic (Annual) be refunded automatically since the user effectively switches to Premium immediately (and Basic Annual does not remain active)? In Sandbox there’s no real charge, but I want to ensure we won’t see a situation in Production where Basic (Annual) is billed and not refunded, even though the subscription effectively moved to Premium right away. AppStore response times for the store test environment to make purchases is very long.
I enter the payment wall, there it takes more or less 3 to 4 minutes to show the plans, when I select the monthly plan the loader is shown and from there the pop up to make the purchase in sandbox does not appear, I have waited until a maximum of 50 minutes and it is not shown, I go back and close the app I do the same steps and I am still there, without showing the pop up. Doing this same process in xcode, everything happens immediately without any interruption.

Unexpected notificationType in App Store Server Notifications V2 when free trial ends
In my app’s IAP products, before enabling free trials, the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks all returned the correct notificationType. For auto-renewable subscriptions, when they were about to expire, the notificationType was either DID_RENEW or EXPIRED. A small number of cases(DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW) failed to renew due to billing issues, which was expected. However, after I enabled a 7-day free trial for the auto-renewable products, I noticed that in the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks, almost all users (except those who manually turned off auto-renewal) received notificationType = DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. According to the documentation, DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW indicates a billing issue renewal failure, but in this case it seems like all renewals are being marked as failed. I’ve observed that for users who cancel during the free trial, the callbacks look normal: first a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS notification, then an EXPIRED notification when the trial ends. That flow seems correct. However, for users who do not cancel the trial, almost all callbacks show DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. Does this mean every remaining user has a billing issue? I also noticed on the Developer Forums that other developers have reported the same issue — receiving a large number of DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notifications specifically when free trials convert to paid subscriptions: https://developer.apple.com/forums/search?q=DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Could someone clarify: under normal circumstances, when a free trial transitions to a paid subscription and fails, should the App Store Server Notifications V2 notificationType indeed be DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW, or should it be a different type(e.g. EXPIRED)? And is it expected behavior that almost all free trial conversions return DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW?

Why does a purchase result in success unverified?
A purchase can result in success with verificationResult .unverified. Is there a list of reasons for which the transaction might be unverified and how should i handle it in my app? From my understanding, a successful unverified transaction means the user has already paid for the purchase. So, do i just ignore the unverified transaction or do i provide content to the user anyways?

in-app-purchase
I have implemented in-app-purchase in one of my iOS application. I generated the consumable products and these are approved by Apple Showing with Green check. I used StoreKit-2 and locally testing with store sync configuration file. The products I have created on developer accounts automatically synced by Store Configuration file and showing no the screen and I can purchase the product with Xcode environment in development. When uploaded app to test flight, I am not getting products with sandbox email id. Cases I have tries: -Remove my original Apple ID from device and just testing with Apple Sandbox email id -> Not getting products. -Remove configuration file while uploading to test flight -> not fetching products. -Checked the archive build and its in Release mode. Note: I am as a (Admin) team member, not account holder. Issue: Not fetching products on Test flight with Sandbox & in live app. Is there something I have to track here: Agreements for Free Apps Agreement with EFFECTIVE DATE showing 3 Jul 2025 - 20 Sep 2025 & STATUS is Active Agreements for Paid Apps Agreement with EFFECTIVE DATE showing nothing & STATUS is New

SKAdNetwork: Error while updating conversion value
Hello! I make use of the new iOS 15.4 SKAdNetwork.updatePostbackConversionValue feature: SKAdNetwork.updatePostbackConversionValue(0) { error in                 if let error = error {                     print(error.localizedDescription)                 }             } I am not sure why, but I always see this error message in the console: SKAdNetwork: Error while updating conversion value: Error Domain=SKANErrorDomain Code=10 "(null)" The operation couldn’t be completed. (SKANErrorDomain error 10.) Any idea what’s going on there? What does Error Code 10 mean? Couldn't find anything in the documentation about that so far. I have the NSAdvertisingAttributionReportEndpoint key with domain (https://api2.branch.io/v1/skadnetwork/advertiser_app) in my .plist.

Unresolved pending purchases for consumables
In our app we are running into a few issues with pending purchases staying on receipt indefinitely. These are consumable purchases where we received the purchase succeeded from apple but then something went wrong on our servers to validate and confirm the purchase. At this point the purchase stays on the apple receipt indefinitely or until we confirm it. The problem is there are lots of scenarios where we can't confirm purchases anymore (like a game world expired/banned player/etc). So there's a few things I'd like to know to see how this could be handle correctly. 1- Was the user already charged, and if yes would they ever be refunded if the purchase is not confirmed (some sort of expiry)? 2- Is there a way to cancel this sort of pending transaction directly from the app or backend? 3- If one of these users asked for a refund from apple would this clear the purchase from the receipt? Any information would be greatI couldn't find a lot of info on this topic.

iOS 26 RC: Testflight showing wrong currency for sandbox accounts
My app has in app purchase for subscriptions, available in many countries. When using Sandbox App Store accounts on TestFlight with a locale different from my own in the iOS 26 RC, I'm getting incorrect currency coming back from Product.products(for: identifiers), and so my app displays the wrong price for the locale. However, the actual Apple Pay buy sheet shows the proper currency symbol and currency amount. This did not happen on prior versions of iOS. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Advanced commerce API - dynamic subscriptions
Hello, We have been approved for the Advanced commerce API and we are trying to implement dynamically created subscriptions via the SubscriptionCreateRequest. We followed the Sending Advanced Commerce API requests from your app (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/sending-advanced-commerce-api-requests-from-your-app) documentation but we are not able to make it work correctly. We created a generic subscription in the Appstore connect, product ID: com.example.subscription Then in the app we load the subscription: try await Product.products(for: ["com.example.subscription"]) We do the JWS serialization on our backend and then we wrap the jwt and convert it to Data in the app as this: let request = """ { "signatureInfo": { "token": "\(result.signedPayload)" } } """ let advancedCommerceRequestData = Data(request.utf8) Lastly, we apply the purchase options on the generic product as this: try await product.purchase( options: [ Product.PurchaseOption.custom( key: "advancedCommerceData", value: advancedCommerceRequestData ) ] ) It doesn't show any error, but on the payment sheet it shows the data from the generic subscription and not the data that was in the SubscriptionCreateRequest. iOS 26 Beta 9 Purchase Issues
Hello all, Posting here before I put in a support ticket to see if there are any ideas. The previous beta issues seem to have been resolved, but now we are having intermittent problems with sandbox purchases. We do not know if this will affect real purchases. This is happening on beta 9 in both public and dev channels for us, most often on iPad Pro 4th. gen (Though idk if that is relevant). Sometimes running TestFlight builds on iOS 26 beta 9 devices we will have attempts to make sandbox purchases just go into a black hole. We do not get a "Do you want to buy this" popup, or the credentials screen. It just pauses for a bit in the section of our code that would be akin to: let result = try await product.purchase( options: [.appAccountToken(accountUUID) ] ) Then wait a couple seconds, and then nothing. The game returns to normal flow as if it was a pending purchase, but nothing more ever happens. We have not been able to get a local debug build to do this, so it's hard for us to tell if it is going into the pending bucket, the userCancelled bucket, or the unverified bucket, etc. If we take a device in this state and remove the app and reinstall from TestFlight we will get a credentials popup on the first attempt after install to buy, and after putting in our info we will get the " "You've already purchased this In-App Purchase...", but nothing ever his our listener and we return to the broken state. Has anyone else seen issues like this? P.S. Our StoreKit logic code is currently widely distributed, so if it was reproducible in the live version on iOS 18 we would know about it. Thanks, Chris

Sandbox Url Not Receiving App Store Server Notifications
I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode. Best current approach to detecting legacy paid app download (without relying on deprecated APIs)?
I’m trying to determine the most appropriate modern method for detecting whether a user originally downloaded a paid app (prior to transitioning the app to freemium/IAP-based access). Historically, this was done by checking for a valid App Store receipt and using SKReceiptRefreshRequest to ensure a fresh one was available. However, SKReceiptRefreshRequest and many related aspects of StoreKit receipt handling are now deprecated in iOS 17+. The current Apple documentation on receipt validation still refers to SKReceiptRefreshRequest, which makes things unclear. With so many deprecations and the push toward StoreKit 2, what’s the recommended path to: Check for a valid App Store receipt Confirm that the app was originally purchased (as a paid app, not via IAP) Persist this info to exempt the user from paywalling the app in the future I don’t need to validate purchases of IAPs — just to detect a legacy paid app download. Any guidance on best practice for this use case, preferably using non-deprecated APIs (StoreKit 2 or otherwise), would be appreciated.

Unknown Error when Trying to Add New Offer Codes
Hi there! Whenever I try to add a new Offer Code for my app's subscription, I get an unknown error. When I get to the last step of the "Create Offer for Codes" flow, I get an error that error reads "An error has occurred. Try again later." I have been getting this same error for over a week now, so any help figuring out how to add new offer codes would be greatly appreciated!

Strange Pattern of Subscriptions + Refunds — Possible Abuse?
Hi everyone, I'm an indie developer and recently noticed some odd behavior in my app's subscription metrics. There’s been a sudden spike in annual subscriptions, which is very unusual for my app — historically, users rarely choose that option. What’s more concerning is that these subscriptions are almost immediately canceled and refunded. Upon checking analytics (RevenueCat + App Store Connect), I also noticed inconsistencies in user location data: users appear to be from one region (like Singapore), but deeper tracking shows actual usage from Vietnam, a market I’ve never targeted and where I do no advertising. This behavior seems coordinated and is affecting my app’s refund rate, which I worry could raise red flags on the App Store side. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is there a recommended way to report suspicious subscription/refund activity to Apple or prevent potential abuse like this? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I enter the payment wall, there it takes more or less 3 to 4 minutes to show the plans, when I select the monthly plan the loader is shown and from there the pop up to make the purchase in sandbox does not appear, I have waited until a maximum of 50 minutes and it is not shown, I go back and close the app I do the same steps and I am still there, without showing the pop up. Doing this same process in xcode, everything happens immediately without any interruption.

Unexpected notificationType in App Store Server Notifications V2 when free trial ends
In my app’s IAP products, before enabling free trials, the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks all returned the correct notificationType. For auto-renewable subscriptions, when they were about to expire, the notificationType was either DID_RENEW or EXPIRED. A small number of cases(DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW) failed to renew due to billing issues, which was expected. However, after I enabled a 7-day free trial for the auto-renewable products, I noticed that in the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks, almost all users (except those who manually turned off auto-renewal) received notificationType = DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. According to the documentation, DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW indicates a billing issue renewal failure, but in this case it seems like all renewals are being marked as failed. I’ve observed that for users who cancel during the free trial, the callbacks look normal: first a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS notification, then an EXPIRED notification when the trial ends. That flow seems correct. However, for users who do not cancel the trial, almost all callbacks show DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. Does this mean every remaining user has a billing issue? I also noticed on the Developer Forums that other developers have reported the same issue — receiving a large number of DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notifications specifically when free trials convert to paid subscriptions: https://developer.apple.com/forums/search?q=DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Could someone clarify: under normal circumstances, when a free trial transitions to a paid subscription and fails, should the App Store Server Notifications V2 notificationType indeed be DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW, or should it be a different type(e.g. EXPIRED)? Why does a purchase result in success unverified?
A purchase can result in success with verificationResult .unverified. Is there a list of reasons for which the transaction might be unverified and how should i handle it in my app? From my understanding, a successful unverified transaction means the user has already paid for the purchase. So, do i just ignore the unverified transaction or do i provide content to the user anyways?

I have implemented in-app-purchase in one of my iOS application. I generated the consumable products and these are approved by Apple Showing with Green check. I used StoreKit-2 and locally testing with store sync configuration file. The products I have created on developer accounts automatically synced by Store Configuration file and showing no the screen and I can purchase the product with Xcode environment in development. When uploaded app to test flight, I am not getting products with sandbox email id. Cases I have tries: -Remove my original Apple ID from device and just testing with Apple Sandbox email id -> Not getting products. -Remove configuration file while uploading to test flight -> not fetching products. -Checked the archive build and its in Release mode. Note: I am as a (Admin) team member, not account holder. SKAdNetwork: Error while updating conversion value
Hello! I make use of the new iOS 15.4 SKAdNetwork.updatePostbackConversionValue feature: SKAdNetwork.updatePostbackConversionValue(0) { error in                 if let error = error {                     print(error.localizedDescription)                 }             } I am not sure why, but I always see this error message in the console: SKAdNetwork: Error while updating conversion value: Error Domain=SKANErrorDomain Code=10 "(null)" The operation couldn’t be completed. (SKANErrorDomain error 10.) Any idea what’s going on there? What does Error Code 10 mean? Couldn't find anything in the documentation about that so far. I have the NSAdvertisingAttributionReportEndpoint key with domain (https://api2.branch.io/v1/skadnetwork/advertiser_app) in my .plist.

Unresolved pending purchases for consumables
In our app we are running into a few issues with pending purchases staying on receipt indefinitely. These are consumable purchases where we received the purchase succeeded from apple but then something went wrong on our servers to validate and confirm the purchase. At this point the purchase stays on the apple receipt indefinitely or until we confirm it. The problem is there are lots of scenarios where we can't confirm purchases anymore (like a game world expired/banned player/etc). So there's a few things I'd like to know to see how this could be handle correctly. 1- Was the user already charged, and if yes would they ever be refunded if the purchase is not confirmed (some sort of expiry)? 2- Is there a way to cancel this sort of pending transaction directly from the app or backend? 3- If one of these users asked for a refund from apple would this clear the purchase from the receipt? Any information would be greatI couldn't find a lot of info on this topic.

iOS 26 RC: Testflight showing wrong currency for sandbox accounts
My app has in app purchase for subscriptions, available in many countries. When using Sandbox App Store accounts on TestFlight with a locale different from my own in the iOS 26 RC, I'm getting incorrect currency coming back from Product.products(for: identifiers), and so my app displays the wrong price for the locale. However, the actual Apple Pay buy sheet shows the proper currency symbol and currency amount. This did not happen on prior versions of iOS. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Advanced commerce API - dynamic subscriptions
Hello, We have been approved for the Advanced commerce API and we are trying to implement dynamically created subscriptions via the SubscriptionCreateRequest. We followed the Sending Advanced Commerce API requests from your app (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/sending-advanced-commerce-api-requests-from-your-app) documentation but we are not able to make it work correctly. iOS 26 Beta 9 Purchase Issues
Hello all, Posting here before I put in a support ticket to see if there are any ideas. The previous beta issues seem to have been resolved, but now we are having intermittent problems with sandbox purchases. We do not know if this will affect real purchases. This is happening on beta 9 in both public and dev channels for us, most often on iPad Pro 4th. gen (Though idk if that is relevant). Sometimes running TestFlight builds on iOS 26 beta 9 devices we will have attempts to make sandbox purchases just go into a black hole. We do not get a "Do you want to buy this" popup, or the credentials screen. It just pauses for a bit in the section of our code that would be akin to: let result = try await product.purchase( options: [.appAccountToken(accountUUID) ] ) Then wait a couple seconds, and then nothing. The game returns to normal flow as if it was a pending purchase, but nothing more ever happens. We have not been able to get a local debug build to do this, so it's hard for us to tell if it is going into the pending bucket, the userCancelled bucket, or the unverified bucket, etc. If we take a device in this state and remove the app and reinstall from TestFlight we will get a credentials popup on the first attempt after install to buy, and after putting in our info we will get the " "You've already purchased this In-App Purchase...", but nothing ever his our listener and we return to the broken state. Has anyone else seen issues like this? P.S. Our StoreKit logic code is currently widely distributed, so if it was reproducible in the live version on iOS 18 we would know about it. Thanks, Chris

Sandbox Url Not Receiving App Store Server Notifications
I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode. Best current approach to detecting legacy paid app download (without relying on deprecated APIs)?
I’m trying to determine the most appropriate modern method for detecting whether a user originally downloaded a paid app (prior to transitioning the app to freemium/IAP-based access). Historically, this was done by checking for a valid App Store receipt and using SKReceiptRefreshRequest to ensure a fresh one was available. However, SKReceiptRefreshRequest and many related aspects of StoreKit receipt handling are now deprecated in iOS 17+. The current Apple documentation on receipt validation still refers to SKReceiptRefreshRequest, which makes things unclear. With so many deprecations and the push toward StoreKit 2, what’s the recommended path to: Check for a valid App Store receipt Confirm that the app was originally purchased (as a paid app, not via IAP) Persist this info to exempt the user from paywalling the app in the future I don’t need to validate purchases of IAPs — just to detect a legacy paid app download. Any guidance on best practice for this use case, preferably using non-deprecated APIs (StoreKit 2 or otherwise), would be appreciated.

Unknown Error when Trying to Add New Offer Codes
Hi there! Whenever I try to add a new Offer Code for my app's subscription, I get an unknown error. When I get to the last step of the "Create Offer for Codes" flow, I get an error that error reads "An error has occurred. Try again later." I have been getting this same error for over a week now, so any help figuring out how to add new offer codes would be greatly appreciated!

IAP Product display incorrect currency price
I has sandbox account with Japanese local. When i build app directly to check, price is displayed in Japanese Currency. But when I install app from the Test Flight, price is always displayed in USD Currency. the issue is appear in iOS 18.5 How can i fix this issue ?

Strange Pattern of Subscriptions + Refunds — Possible Abuse?
Hi everyone, I'm an indie developer and recently noticed some odd behavior in my app's subscription metrics. There’s been a sudden spike in annual subscriptions, which is very unusual for my app — historically, users rarely choose that option. What’s more concerning is that these subscriptions are almost immediately canceled and refunded. Upon checking analytics (RevenueCat + App Store Connect), I also noticed inconsistencies in user location data: users appear to be from one region (like Singapore), but deeper tracking shows actual usage from Vietnam, a market I’ve never targeted and where I do no advertising. This behavior seems coordinated and is affecting my app’s refund rate, which I worry could raise red flags on the App Store side. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is there a recommended way to report suspicious subscription/refund activity to Apple or prevent potential abuse like this? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!
