I am trying to develop a Watch and iOS app as companion. It is beyond stupid how I can not keep the watch connected to Xcode to develop. I have tried all the so-called tricks. Why is this so fragile? The phone is USB connected to my Mac I have tried turning off the wifi on my Mac and have the phone and watch on the same network. Nada I have tried just having everything on the same network. The watch is connected maybe 20% of the time. I have tried creating a hotspot network with my phone. The watch is connected maybe 50% of the time. This is truly an awful experience. Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be grateful.

Hi everyone, I’m new to the Apple Developer side of things and I want to make sure I’m handling this correctly. I hired a freelance iOS developer to build my app. I have my own Apple Developer account (Individual), and I want the app published under my account. The developer says he needs me to create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR), then he will generate the distribution certificate on his end and send me the .cer file back. From there, he would use that for signing and submitting the app. My questions: 1. Is this the correct and modern way to handle app signing? 2. Should I instead just add him to my App Store Connect account with Developer access and let him manage signing through Xcode? Dev claims this won’t work, which I haven’t been able to prove or disprove. ChatGPT says it does,but other AI tools says it doesn’t. 3. Is there any risk in sharing certificates like this? 4. What is considered best practice in 2026 for working with freelancers while keeping full control of the account? My goal is simple: • The app stays fully under my Apple Developer account. • I retain long term control. • The developer can build and submit without needing my Apple ID or password. I’m not trying to make things complicated, I just want to do this the right way and avoid issues later. Thanks in advance.

I have received this installation error attempting to upgrade from MacOS 26.4 beta 2 to beta 3 on my Intel 2020 27” iMac, and now trying to install beta 4 from beta 3 on my M1 Max MBP. I have seen from a sprinkling of post that some others have had the same issue. I was able to successfully perform the 2 to 3 upgrade on the iMac in safe boot, suggesting possible compatible, third-party app. But that did not work for beta 4 on either device. I have submitted feedback for each episode. Any others have this issue? Unusual for Apple, I have never had any issues installing beta software before.

Hello Apple Developer Technical Support team, We have an iOS app that provides caller identification via a Call Directory extension (CXCallDirectoryProvider). Our extension provides identification entries (phone number → label), and users enable it in Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification. We would like to confirm whether Call Directory is used only for incoming calls, and understand why the outgoing call UI sometimes shows labels. Observed behavior Incoming calls: After a user logs in again (which triggers a server sync and then reloads the Call Directory extension), the caller label is shown correctly on the incoming call screen for matching numbers. Outgoing calls: In general, the outgoing call screen often shows only the phone number (no label), even when the same number exists in our identification entries and the extension is enabled. However, on some devices, the outgoing call screen does show a label even when the number is not saved in the local Contacts app. In at least one customer case, the outgoing label behavior changed after an iOS update: before updating iOS, labels were not shown on outgoing calls; after updating iOS, labels started appearing (with no changes in our app settings/config). Questions Is the Phone app expected to consult Call Directory identification entries only for incoming calls (caller ID), and not for outgoing call UI? If labels can appear on outgoing calls, what are the possible sources and rules (e.g., Recents cache, carrier Name Display/CNAM, other system caches), and is any of that behavior documented? Are there known iOS version changes or issues that could explain “outgoing label not shown” becoming “outgoing label shown” after an OS update? I recently updated to tvOS 26 on my Apple TV 4K (1st generation) and was disappointed to find that apps I restrict no longer appear at all. In earlier versions, restricted apps would still be visible and simply prompt for a passcode — this was much more convenient for adults in the household. Now, if I restrict apps for my children, they disappear completely. To use them again, I have to go deep into settings, turn restrictions off, and even recreate the passcode each time, which is frustrating and impractical for daily use. I also tried adding a Kids user account, but most restrictions still apply system-wide. Only the Apple TV app behaves differently between users. This makes switching between parent and child accounts nearly pointless for managing access. Please consider one or both of the following: 1. Bring back the passcode-on-launch behavior for restricted apps (instead of hiding them). 2. Give each user their own isolated settings environment, like how profiles work on iOS/iPadOS or even a fresh Apple TV—this way, restrictions, home screen, and app access could be personalized. Families are a huge part of the Apple TV audience, and these recent changes have made it much harder to use the device in a shared household. Thank you!

iPadOS 26 Dev Beta 1 - need to do a restore via DFU mode. I made sure iPad in normal mode shows up in Finder and I can see device details. When I boot into DFU mode (I have kept the ipad connected to mac), it does not show up in Finder. No matter what combination of plugging/unplugging cables, rebooting, again into DFU mode, it will not show up in Finder. Looking for steps to resolve this, or do I need to wait until beta 2 to resolve this?

I enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an organization under the name Mindzone Technologies on Monday, December 15, 2025. Since then, the enrollment status has remained in “processing” with no updates. After waiting several weeks, I contacted Apple Developer Support twice but have not received any response. First email was sent on Monday, January 19, 2026 (GMT+4) Second email was sent on Friday, January 23, 2026 (GMT+4) Category: Membership and Account, Program Enrollment At this point, it has been over 40 days since enrollment and more than 3 business days since the last support contact, despite Apple stating typical response times are much shorter. There has been no request for additional documents, no phone call for identity verification, and no explanation provided. This delay is blocking our ability to publish apps and proceed with business commitments. Has anyone else faced an enrollment delay of this length recently Is there a specific escalation path or action that actually helped resolve this Should I expect a phone verification call or is there something I should proactively request Any guidance from Apple staff or developers who managed to resolve a similar case would be greatly appreciated. Since iOS 26.1 I'm running into the following iCloud issues. Contacts are not being synced to iOS and iPad OS at all, no matter how I re-enable contact syncing I can't get them to sync. On recent versions of macOS (including current betas), when enabling Internet Sharing from Ethernet to Wi-Fi, the configured WPA2/WPA3 password is ignored and the shared network is broadcast as an open (unsecured) network. Steps to Reproduce: Connect Mac to Ethernet via USB/LAN adapter Go to System Settings > General > Sharing > Internet Sharing Set up Wi-Fi options with a valid WPA2/WPA3 password Enable Internet Sharing Expected Behavior: Devices should see a password-protected Wi-Fi network with a lock icon and require authentication. Hi all, I just submitted my application to join the Developer Program. I went through the form, and got to the payment screen and filled out. I submitted and have received an "order acknowledgement" email, but I note that payment hasn't been taken, nor do I have any other emails regarding it. I understand my application can take a while to progress and it's still early days, but I'm concerned that it's stuck in limbo as payment hasn't been taken. With that and the notice on my account page that still reads: "Purchase your membership. To continue your enrollment, complete your purchase now Your purchase may take up to 48 hours to process." When I navigate to the payment screen again, I can see that there is no CVV field which my bank requires to accept payments. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and how they resolved or, even, if I have done something wrong during the application phase. Thanks!

For the last two weeks Time Machine has been unable to complete back up. It's throwing up the following: The error detail shows : The file does not exist in finder and have tried logging Mac out of iCloud and back in again but error remains. Any thoughts much appreciated.

Hi there - I have an Issue everytime an app uses the Frontcamera, it crushes. I tried all the basic steps to help such as newstart of the phone, newest updates of the apps, reset all settings etc. nothing helps. I am now in IOS 26.1. Any Ideas?

My app has a menu called "Document". On Tahoe, this appears as a lightbulb icon. Is this deliberate? Is it possible to stop this? Or do I just have to use a different name if I want people to read words?
