I’m experiencing a crash in WKWebView on iOS 26 Developer Beta 5 and Beta 6 with the following exception: CALayer position contains NaN: [nan 65] The crash occurs when the following CSS properties are applied to content displayed in WKWebView: -webkit-user-select: none; -webkit-touch-callout: none; This issue happens consistently whenever these styles are set, leading to the crash inside WKWebView. Is this a known bug in the current iOS 26 betas, or is there a recommended workaround?

This post is an effort to draw attention to a regression in Tahoe that has a large impact on our app. This bug was filed during seed 3 but remains open: FB18869578: Regression: WebView fails to render fonts registered with CTFontManagerRegisterFontURLs or ATSApplicationFontsPath The gist of it is that WKWebView fails to render text that is styled with a “font-family” that references a font that has been loaded into the app using either the ATSApplicationFontsPath Info.plist key or loaded dynamically with CTFontManagerRegisterFontURLs. The area where the text should be is just blank. There is more detail and a reproducer in the bug referenced above. We really hope this bug can get fixed before GA. Hello Apple App Review Team, We are using Privy to enable sign in with Farcaster in our app. Privy is a 3rd party authentication SDK, and it currently opens the authentication URL using the system browser. Unfortunately, this behavior is handled internally by Privy and we do not have access or control to override it in order to present the sign-in flow in-app using SFSafariViewController. We understand the importance of maintaining a seamless and secure user experience, and we fully support the use of SFSafariViewController or ASWebAuthenticationSession. However, since Privy does not expose an option to change this behavior at the moment, we are limited by their current implementation. We have reached out to the Privy team requesting a change or improvement that would allow us to use SFSafariViewController instead of the external browser. In the meantime, we would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed, or whether an exception could be granted due to this 3rd party SDK limitation. Thank you for your understanding and support.

This is my first post, so please forgive me if it is to the wrong area. I've been using Tahoe for a few days and, overall, it's very stable. But the one thing that has bothered me to no end is Safari's new behavior with respect to its header (Address bar, Favorite bookmarks bar, tab bar) background color. The web content of the active tab seems to affect everything - and oftentimes makes things completely unreadable - at least in "Dark" mode. For instance, if a web page uses a white background, the Favorites bookmark labels are the same color as the bookmark background, so reading the labels is simply impossible. At other times, they're just very difficult to read. Similarly, it is almost always impossible to tell which tab is the active one - my only workaround is to try 100% brightness....or to just guess. When Apple previously experimented with letting content bleed through to the top, there was a setting for stopping it - but I don't see such a setting anymore. Do you you know of any way to stop this effect?

I have compiled some Java code to WebAssembly via TeaVM and wrapped it in a PWA. The resulting code runs nicely in Firefox and Chrome but throws an exception in Safari. CompileError: WebAssembly.Module doesn't parse at byte 1657: invalid extended GC op 24, in function at index 2251 Can anybody tell me what's wrong with that code? I mean it can't be so bad if Firefox and Chrome can parse and run it without problems. I'm working on a Safari web extension that uses the nativeMessaging facility to communication with native code. When I want to notify the javascript extension from the embedding application, I use SFSafariApplication::dispatchMessage. As per the documentation, this call ... ensures that Safari is launched and that your extension is running before delivering the message. Everything works fine when the background script is running. However, after the background script gets unloaded at some point in time (non persistent background page, default behavior for a manifest V3 extension), the background script is not reloaded by the message from the native app (background script still appears unloaded in the developer menu of Safari, double-checked using a counter stored in browser.storage.local incremented on message reception). In this case, the completion handler of the application gets no error (error == nil) as if the message was correctly delivered. I was able to reproduce this behavior with the sample app delivered for WWDC20 (after upgrading the manifest from v2 to v3 to make it non-persistent). Is it supposed to work ? What I'm doing wrong ?

To reproduce this request (with the previous DNR rule in place) : navigate to https://www.qwant.com search for some string (test in my case). This displays the list of results ; click the engine button at the top right to display the settings pane ; inspect network request performed by this page ; change the Adult filter in the list -> the results are automatically updated with the new settings. The web request shows URL with the 2 safesearch parameters. I already used addOrReplaceParams in 'standard' contexts (main_frame) and it works just fine. Any hint on what goes on ? Thank you.

Hi! I'm working on a web extension for Safari and I need to send messages from the containing application to JavaScript. For this I use the method class func dispatchMessage( withName messageName: String, toExtensionWithIdentifier identifier: String, userInfo: [String : Any]? = nil ) async throws of the SFSafariApplication class. If the site is opened in Safari in normal mode, everything works as expected. However, if the site is "docked", the messages are not transmitted to this "Web App".

hi Testing on OS26 Public Beta 6. In Safari, if you enter x homepage and scroll, the tab bar sticks to the bottom and moves. Make the keyboard appear in the search window When scrolling down on the Safari homepage again, the issue of not being able to stick to the bottom appears. Is it because the liquid glass UI was applied this time? and safari bug? Please let me know if I'm missing anything
