Hey team, I've integrated custom WkWebsiteDatastore to manage profiling for different sessions. upon testing the WkWebsiteDataStore as its mentioned to be persistent But The storage can be accessed via identifier, But the session data in storage is absent, such as cookies caches all are cleared when app is relaunched is it the default behavior to be expected or there is some property missing causing the session data to be removed from storage.

In a project to create a web extension for Safari, using scripting.registerContentScript() API to inject a bunch of scripts into web pages, I needed to manage a dynamic whitelist (i.e., web pages where the scripts should not be injected). Fortunately, scripting.registerContentScripts() gives you the option of defining a list of web pages to be considered as a whitelist, using the excludeMatches parameter in the directive, to represent an array of pages where the script should not be injected. We have a Safari extension that's been up on the App Store for about 18 months with no apparent issues. This week, however, while working on an update, we uninstalled the production version on our test machines and installed a developer version. When we had some issues, we tried to go back to the production version downloaded from the App Store, but we get an pop saying "Unable to download App." In the log, the most obviously relevant error is 'Operation not permitted'. This occurs on several machines and different logins on those machines in both norma and safe modes. However, on another machine that never had one installed, we could still install the app from the app store, so I suspect there is something left behind that needs to be removed, but I don't know what. FWIW, I see the download directory getting created under /Applications, but it is promptly removed when the failure popup appears. Any suggestions?

After upgrading to Xcode 15.2 or above(Till Xcode 16.2), users are unable to open Site B (HTTP URL) from Site A (HTTP URL) within our Browser app when loaded in WKWebView. Clicking the link to Site B results in a spinning wheel, but the site does not load. This issue is not present when the app is built with Xcode 15.0.1. Additionally: Users are connected to a VPN, which is required to access the sites. Site A and Site B are on different domains (cross-domain request). Expected Behavior: Clicking the link to Site B should successfully load the site with user information passed from Site A. Current Behavior: Clicking the link results in a spinning wheel, but Site B does not load inside WKWebView. Technical Details: Both Site A and Site B use HTTP (not HTTPS). Site A and Site B have different domains (cross-domain request). Do not use location.href for transitions. Instead, we temporarily set about:blank in an iframe and then submit data via a form to the target system’s URL within the iframe. This approach worked in Xcode 15.0.1 but fails in Xcode 15.2 or above. Users are connected to a VPN, which is required to access the sites. I built and extension for chrome, edge, and firefox. I'm porting the chrome extension to safari using the safari-web-extension-converter tool. This has worked successfully and I was able to publish my extension to the app store. I made some updates to the service worker code recently and I'm now being hit with an error when trying to load my unsigned extension into safari: The service_worker script failed to load due to an error. I've looked online at some other forums and haven't found anything helpful around how to debug this kind of error. Because the service worker is non-persistent in safari, I don't have access to the console logs of the service worker through the Develop > Web Extension Background Context menu. Has anyone successfully debugged this kind of error? Are there logs I can pull directly from safari that would help me here? Thanks in advance for the help!

I have "http://localhost:8080" showing the index page I've created but php is not handled though an extension is running. Haven't even tried mySQL yet but since there is no reference to it in https.conf the same problem will exist. Homebrew extension running also. https.conf: #PHP was deprecated in macOS 11 and removed from macOS 12 #LoadModule php7_module libexec/apache2/libphp7.so There are no php.so files on my machine and again no mention of mysql What should I enter in http.conf to activate these functionalities? I have a local HTML file used to display mixed content with images and text. Here's the issue: the same file displays everything correctly in Google Chrome, showing both images and text as expected. However, when opened in Safari, only the text is shown—images are missing, which is very strange. Interestingly, if I remove .png from the title attribute of the tag, the images show up properly in Safari. Alternatively, if I comment out the inclusion of html2canvas.min.js, the images also display correctly (although the layout breaks without it). I'm not sure if this is a Safari-specific issue. I am currently developing a Chrome, Firefox and Safari web extension, and I am facing a CSP issue on the content script on Safari. The extension I develop has a content script that injects an img tag in the DOM of web pages the user is visiting. That img tag fetches its content at a specific URL. On Chrome and on Firefox, the img tag content fetches the content at the URL with no issue on every web pages, including those that set the CSP header img-src. If the site is opened in Safari in normal mode, everything works as expected. However, if the site is "docked", the messages are not transmitted to this "Web App".

Recently the points on the map began missing the text in the boxes only on Apple devices that have been upgraded to iOS 18. Has anyone also had this happen to their site?
