Exact date Xcode 27/iOS 27 SDK becomes mandatory for App Store submissions — is Xcode 26 still usable in March 2027?
Hi, We ship an iOS and iPadOS app distributed on the App Store. We understand new submissions will be required to use the Xcode 27/iOS 27 SDK starting around April 2027 (following the same pattern as the iOS 26 SDK requirement from April 2026), after which the UIDesignRequiresCompatibility flag will no longer be available. Is there an exact date this takes effect? Specifically, will submissions built with Xcode 26 still be accepted in March 2027, or is the cutoff earlier? Thank you.

Will an iOS/iPadOS App Store app not adopting Liquid Glass be removed from sale?
Hi, We ship an iOS and iPadOS app distributed on the App Store (not macOS or other platforms). We currently keep Liquid Glass off via UIDesignRequiresCompatibility = YES, built with Xcode 26. We understand new submissions will be required to use the current SDK starting around April 2027 (following the same pattern as the iOS 26 SDK requirement from April 2026), at which point this compatibility flag will no longer be available. If we do not submit an update before that requirement takes effect, will our existing (already-published) binary be removed from sale on the App Store — on either iPhone or iPad — or will it remain available as-is until we submit a new build? Thank you.
