For a given instantiation, is the Instance object passed to each method of NWProtocolFramerImplementaion the same? If that includes the initializer, why do the other methods still want it?

I heard that the Network framework can help using networking with Swift concurrency. I read up on "NWConnection," which uses a DispatchQueue. I was wondering how queues fit together with concurrency, then I heard about a related class, "NetworkConnection." I realized that the new class is in the same module, but introduced for macOS 26. I saw the WWDC25 video about it, but it assumed that I already knew about its result-builder connection setup. I don't; was it introduced in an earlier video? A lot of times, I find a web article soon after some WWDC that explains how to actually a new API. The problem is that the class' name is un-Google-able, being two actual words concatenated together that can reasonably be found together. Does anyone have a link of a post-WWDC25 article explaining NetworkConnection?

There’s a general UTI category for archives. Does an archive type HAVE to compress the file data, or can the data be stored 1:1? I’m asking because some of the descriptions suggest the category is for compressed archives, but my archive type is 1:1.

Glancing through the APIs, SwiftUI can handle the open app, reopen app, open doc, and quit core events (with the “aevt” suite ID). What about the print doc and open content events? If there are no hooks (yet), how can I implement them the traditional way without clashing with SwiftUI?

Should there be separate intents to open each supported file type? Or a single intent, and my code sniffs out the format?

I read some article that said for using Apple Intelligence as an integrated part of an app, instead of tacked on, MVVM and VIPER are not good fits. Would that be accurate? What other architectures could work better? (The author didn’t suggest any replacements.)

I tried making a concurrency-safe data queue. It was going well, until memory check tests crashed. It's part of an unadvertised git project. Note that the file and its tests were originally AI slop.

I saw this file among my project's check-in: .swiftpm/xcode/package.xcworkspace/contents.xcworkspacedata Does this need to be added to source control? Or the .gitignore file (or equivalent)? Or are there some files within the ".swiftpm" that should be checked in, and others ignored?

My best guess that Expectation objects come from some other Apple Swift Testing function, but I don't know where.

I'm making an operator Publisher, which has to wrap the upstream publisher. But I want the operator to conditionally conform to ConnectablePublisher, but only when the upstream publisher does the same. I can make my connect() call the upstream's connect(), but is that all I have to do? That Apple's plumbing will automatically hold back the initial call to the Subscription object if the publisher is connectable. Otherwise, I need to make a flag in the subscription for when to connect, which would involve an infinitely copyable struct somehow send a message to a unique class/actor. That last part makes sense to me, but it also seems like too much work for something plug-and-play. Having Apple's implementation taking care of that issue also makes sense, and would be a better solution.

We can get informed on object changes through conforming to ObservableObject or having the @Observable macro attached to the type’s definition. How do you handle imported code that assumes the other observation technique?

NSApplicationDelegate.application(_:open:) gets the files it needs to read from the file URLs given. There are similar older functions that use a String to identify the file. What format are those strings expecting? A path name? An URL?

I've heard that when a Mac app implements their version of the Standard AppleEvent suite, the developer can copy "CocoaStandard.sdef" and trim out whatever they don't need. What are the constraints on this trimming? I guess that we could remove commands wholesale, but can we remove sub-parts of a command? Can we change an enumeration? A record type?
