Own app flagged as 4.1(a) Copycat + "Extended Review" — previous version approved with identical metadata
My game "Erendor Online" (iOS) has been stuck since October 14. Version 1.1.24 was approved on October 13 with the same name, icon and metadata. Version 1.1.27 was then rejected twice under Guideline 4.1(a) Copycats ("third-party Erendor Online content"), but Erendor Online is my own game; the Android version on Google Play is published by me as well. There is no other developer involved. The second rejection added an "Extended Review" flag, so each resubmission now waits 4-6 days in the queue. So far I have replied in App Store Connect with Google Play Console ownership proof and resubmitted (still "Waiting for Review"), appealed to the App Review Board, requested an expedited review (accepted), and opened a Developer Support case. Meanwhile my iOS players cannot get the update and are leaving the game. Has anyone had a 4.1 Copycat finding removed when the "copied" app is their own Android version? Any advice on getting the Extended Review flag lifted would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

One month, four submissions, one review: live game blocked in "Waiting for Review" (App ID 6811059605)
I am a solo developer and I have honestly run out of ways to reach App Review, so I am posting here as a last resort. App: Erendor Online (Apple ID 6811059605), iOS Current build: 1.1.24, submitted October 2, 2026 Status today (October 11): still "Waiting for Review" after 9 days. The review has not even started. Apple keeps telling us that 90% of apps are reviewed within 24 hours. Here is what the last month actually looked like for us: September 12: first submission. Rejected under 2.1, which we fixed, and then under 4.3(a) (Spam). September 14: we answered the 4.3(a) concern in detail: the game, the server, the classes, the skills and the economy are our own work; we use licensed art packs and disclosed this. We never received any reply. September 17: resubmitted. It sat in "Waiting for Review" for 7 days without being opened. September 23: resubmitted. Developer Support confirmed in writing that our app was approved for an expedited review. It still waited a week. September 30: rejected, because the reviewer could not connect to the in-app store. Our app and its in-app purchases are available only in Turkey, and the review was apparently done from the United States, where the store is not available by design. October 2: resubmitted (1.1.24). 9 days and counting. Support cases 102971786500 and 102979972464 have both been answered with "your review is proceeding normally". Three follow-up emails got no answer at all. Today I filed another expedite request. Why this hurts so much: Erendor Online is not a new or unfinished app. It is a live online multiplayer RPG that is already running on Google Play with an active community. The app and our server must run exactly the same version, so I have had to freeze the live server on 1.1.24 so the reviewer can log in. That means for a full month I have not been able to ship a single update or bug fix to my Android players either. Players are leaving, and every day the ones who stay ask me when iOS is coming. I have no answer for them. I am not asking for special treatment in the review itself. I am asking for the app to be opened. If something is wrong, tell me and I will fix it the same day. If the submission is on hold because of the old 4.3(a) flag, tell me what I need to do, or which app(s) mine is being compared to, and I will respond immediately. If anyone from App Review or DTS sees this, I would be extremely grateful if you could look at the submission. And if other developers are seeing the same thing after a 4.3(a) rejection, please share what finally worked for you. Thank you. Orkun Bilgen, Erendor Online
