Internal TestFlight invitations are never delivered, despite correct App Store Connect configuration
I’m experiencing what appears to be a TestFlight issue and, after spending several hours troubleshooting, I’m no longer convinced this is a configuration problem on my side. I’ve searched through previous forum posts and found several similar reports over the last few years, but none of the suggested solutions have resolved the issue. Environment App Store Connect Internal TestFlight testing iOS app Build 4.0.0 (257) Apple Developer Program iPhone running the latest version of TestFlight Current situation Our latest internal build is successfully processed and shows “Testing” under the Internal Testing group. The tester is an active App Store Connect user with: Admin role Access to all apps Correct Apple Account Same Apple ID used on the iPhone Same Apple ID used for Media & Purchases However, the tester always remains in the “Invited” state. The TestFlight invitation email is never delivered. Because the invitation is never received, TestFlight simply displays the default “Start Testing” screen asking for an invitation or redemption code. Things I’ve already verified ✅ Build successfully processed ✅ Internal testing group configured correctly ✅ Build assigned to the internal group ✅ Tester added to the internal group ✅ Tester has Admin permissions ✅ Tester has access to all apps ✅ Apple ID on the iPhone matches the App Store Connect account ✅ Signed out and back into Media & Purchases ✅ Deleted and reinstalled TestFlight ✅ Restarted the iPhone ✅ Resent the invitation multiple times ✅ Removed and re-added the tester ✅ Checked Spam, Junk and all mail folders ✅ Waited several hours after resending The invitation is simply never delivered. Additional information Another internal tester using a different email address is able to receive the invitation and install the app without any issue. This makes me believe the build itself is correctly configured. I also attempted to use an External Testing public link, but since the build is still under Beta App Review, that path is currently unavailable. My question Has anyone experienced this recently? Is it possible that the TestFlight invitation becomes “stuck” internally for a specific Apple Account? Is there any known way to completely reset the invitation state for an internal tester? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
