I'll add to this that I am running on an iMac 21.2 M1 7-core under macOS 26.6.2 and I've tried this against every 26.x release version. I've tried creating a new user and launching Xcode from their account, with no success. I looked at the log stream at the time of the crash and no other daemon (amfid, tccd, syspolicyd, trustd) complains about or tries to shut down Xcode. Free disk space is around 95GB. codesign and cpctl came back clean, so not a corrupted install.
