Update: resolved in iOS 27.2 beta 2 (24B5084k). excludesCurrentProcessAudio now excludes the app's own audio on iPhone 16 Pro (FB24170972).

No fix on our side either. Apple DTS told us on Sep 9 that Engineering is aware of the issue and working on a fix. We re-measured on the iOS 27.0 release build (24A435): still 0.0 dB suppression.

Thanks Greg - the Info.plist rejection is gone on our side. I re-archived today (2026-08-21) with UIBackgroundModes containing both audio and screen-capture, and uploaded to App Store Connect. The error "Invalid Info.plist value. The Info.plist key UIBackgroundModes contains an invalid value: 'screen-capture'" no longer appears anywhere in the export/upload log - the package is analyzed and sent to App Store Connect without complaint. So the allowlist change looks effective. Thank you for pushing it through. The delivery itself still does not complete, but for an unrelated and expected reason: "Unsupported SDK or Xcode version. Your app was built with an SDK or version of Xcode that isn't supported... you need to use the latest Release Candidates (RC) for SDKs and Xcode to submit the app." (error ID P3DR6OXGOAG2ME32O74DN6SHKE) Our app requires the iOS 27 SDK - it uses the new Speech AnalyzerInputConverter API - so building with Xcode 26.6 is not an option; it fails to compile. I will re-verify end to end once the Xcode 27 RC is available, but as far as screen-capture in UIBackgroundModes is concerned, this is resolved.
