App Rejected Due to U.S. Sanctions – Seeking Guidance
Hello everyone, I recently submitted my app for review, but it was rejected under Guideline 5.0 - Legal, citing U.S. sanctions regulations. The message from Apple states that they cannot approve the app because it is "subject to U.S. sanctions regulations." A few questions I need help with: Clarification on Compliance – Has anyone encountered this before? Are there any steps to verify if my app truly falls under these restrictions, and how can I challenge this decision if I believe it was made in error? Possible Solutions – Is there any way to comply with Apple’s policies while operating in an embargoed country? Would registering the developer account in a different country or using a different legal entity make a difference? Future Resubmissions – Apple mentioned that U.S. laws are "constantly changing." Does anyone know how frequently these policies are updated, or where I can track changes that might allow my app to be reconsidered? Apple Support – Has anyone successfully discussed this with Apple’s App Review team or received further guidance from them? Would an App Review Appointment be useful in this case? I would really appreciate any insights from developers who have faced similar challenges or have expertise in handling legal restrictions like these. Thanks in advance for your help! Best,
