We're seeing the same issue on our production Apple Pay integration, calling apple-pay-gateway.apple.com for merchant session validation. Wanted to add our data point since the timing lines up closely with what's described above. Onset: ~2026-08-25, approximately 07:00 UTC — close to the window reported here. Symptom: TCP connection establishes successfully, but the request then hangs with no response — no TLS handshake completion, no HTTP response, no error from the server side at all. Given the matching endpoint, near-identical onset time, and similar TLS-handshake-hang signature, this looks like the same underlying issue rather than two unrelated problems. Would be helpful to know if Apple's payment gateway team is already tracking this, and whether there's a known cause or ETA — happy to share more detail (region, request volume, exact timestamps) directly if useful for debugging.
