Same problem here. Strangely Ventura 13.1 Beta 3 (22A5295i) fixed the problem and now the public version 13.1 (22C65) reverts back to the broken widgets.

I experienced the same limitation. It seems to be Apple's intention that no security devices can be controlled. Once again an unnecessary limitation.

The update to macOS 26.0.1 fixed the problem for me.
