Thank you, @matt9! Adding the extension worked on my MacBook Pro 13-inch, M2, 2022 running Ventura 13.4.1 (c) with an original Presonus Firepod and GarageBand. The install claimed it failed, and the System crashed a few times at first, but eventually restarting with the interface plugged made it stable.
