I was getting that yesterday. Now it has changed to this:

ASIX is absolutely incapable of keeping their DEXT driver working. It took them until August to get it working under Big Sur and now it's broken again. I've already replaced my ASIX dongles. I just keep watching this because - like a good car wreck - you just can't look away.

StarTech's download is the same as the one you can get directly from Asix. Neither works on Monterey 12.0.1. I suspect that once again we will be waiting until August for a working driver and it will break again on the next OS. Asix really is the worst.
