Reply to Is Signal actually selling private conversations?
@DTS Engineer My post is related to Apple's APIs, because in order to determine whether Signal sold a transcript of my Signal call, I had to first eliminate the other possibilities, namely: Whether and for how long another backgrounded app with microphone recording permission is allowed to continue recording, to which you or your colleague said yes, so long as the recording starts in the foreground, and there was no mention of recording being forced to stop in the background; see here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/770556 Whether another backgrounded app with microphone recording permission is allowed to record while another app is also recording, which you or your colleague said was "generally not possible"; see here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/770698 I would of course like to find out what "generally not possible" means: What exceptions are there? Given the insights of the DTS engineer(s), it seems that yes, only Signal would have been able to record and transcribe my Signal call. Unless... "generally not possible" allows for a loophole.
