As the original poster, I wanted to add a quick update on the release timing: The fix has been merged into Chromium and is planned for the Chrome Remote Desktop version 157 milestone. On October 27, a Chrome Remote Desktop team member said that, if there are no problems, a new public version should be available within a week or two. We’ll need to wait for the public release and verify that it resolves the issue.
