Stage Manager not working with iPad Pro M1 2TB

I am trying out Stage Manager with iPad OS 16 and the recent M1 iPad Pro with 2TB space. I had hoped I could connect it via a USB-C cable but the iPad is detecting the LG monitor and it works fine when I select Mirror Screen in Arrangement but when I stop mirroring the screen I am getting a black screen.

I am using the port of the iPad Pro to connect it to the display and no luck. Even if try it by connecting to the USB port on the Magic Keyboard itself it acts the same.

I have the same problem. My iPad Pro (5th generation) used to always work with my monitor with stage manager. Now it just mirrors my screen with or without stage manager. Hopefully there’s a solution to this.

I’m having the same problem. I have a 2TB M1 iPad Pro. It worked with my monitor in various beta builds, but the official build doesn’t work. It just mirrors the screen now and I can’t use stage manager.

Same issue IPad M1 Pro 12.9” just updated to OS 16.1 and stage manager only mirrors on lg ultra wide monitor 34”. In Display settings there is no arrangement option it only recognises the monitor.

same for me on iPad 11 (3rd gen with M1) - there is no arrangement option in Display settings

Same problem here… Maybe last update crash it

I have the same problem with iOS 16.1 on iPad 11-inch M2 - no arrangement option in settings and the built-in display is not listed. I assume that the arrangement option is missing because the built-in display is not listed. The display is mirroring between the iPad and the USBC display.

Exactly the same issue, Just upgraded to IPADOS 16.1.1 and still the same. I have tried multiple USBC to HDMI adaptors all with same results. They all see the external monitor but the build in display is not listed…. Why is this so difficult???

Are you on the beta? 16.2(a)
