Unusually long “Waiting for Review” times this week (App Store + TestFlight delays?)

I’m currently experiencing unusually long review waiting times and wanted to ask if others see the same behavior this week.

My situation:

• App Store update has been in “Waiting for Review” significantly longer than usual • A newly submitted build also seems stuck • TestFlight processing is slower than I normally see • Expedited review request and contact attempts didn’t change the status so far

What confuses me is that I still see other apps receiving updates, so I’m unsure whether this is a broader review delay or something submission-specific.

I’m not trying to escalate anything — just looking to understand if this is currently affecting more developers.

Would really appreciate hearing about your recent experiences.

I am still waiting as well.

My new app (App ID: 6757254070) has remained in the “Waiting for Review” status since February 1 (UTC+9). Because the review process seemed to be taking unusually long compared to my previous experiences, I submitted an inquiry (Reference ID: 102812788306), but I have not yet received any response.

For additional context, the app was originally submitted on January 23 and remained in the “Waiting for Review” state for eight days. As I was concerned there might have been an issue with the review queue, I canceled the submission and resubmitted the app on February 1.

At this point, I am wondering whether the prolonged waiting time is simply due to a heavy backlog in the App Review process.

I'm in the same situation, since February 3rd waiting for review. No updates. They usually say that takes 24-48hrs to be reviewed. I'm at 10 days already

My team has also encountered a similar situation. In mid-January, the build (App ID: 1552207792) was submitted for review and remained in the "Waiting for Review" state for several days. The status did not change, so we tried resubmitting the build, but that did not help. A week later, we resubmitted it again after accepting the new Terms of Use in App Store Connect, thinking that might have been the cause of the delay.

Currently, the app has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" since February 4th — it has now been 10 days. A request for an expedited review and contacting Apple have not had any impact on the situation.

I have the exact same problem, i'm waiting since Thursday. What can i do ?

Same here. Since Friday, no response yet; the status is still 'waiting for review'.

Same for me, I am not launching a new app, just update. Have no idea why is that happening

Same here. We submitted updates for three apps. One went into review and was approved within a few hours. The other two have been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for several days. We’ll just have to wait and see.

My app has been in "Waiting for Review" for 20 days with no updates.

It's really bad, we pay for the Developer account (1), then pay again on anything we sell (2) and then again if we advertise in App store (3) and then lose money further when they don't approve apps on time (4) --- Incredibly one-sided.

Our app has been In Review for 7+ days. We resubmitted to make sure everything was fine, and once again, one initial reply 4 days ago for which we replied right away, and we are still stuck in "In Review". We've done expedited requests, 3 support tickets, explained there are critical bugs that need to go through (not to mention clients that expect it live) --- nothing --- no reply whatsoever. It used to be that Android was like this before, but now the service quality is the exact opposite. Not to mention, this is not a new app; we've released monthly for the past 5 years and have thousands of positive reviews. It's as if our entire business is at a standstill, and worse yet, declining due to gate-keeping.

We are running into the same issue here as well. Been sitting in "Waiting for Review" since early Thursday last week after resubmitting.

There is nothing on the App Store Connect status page either that would indicate that this issue exists.

This is my first time publishing an app on the App Store. I have to tell the truth, they rejected it twice due to some corrections. Both times they responded to me within 48 hours. Now I sent it back last Wednesday and it still appears as READY FOR VERIFICATION.
