App review delay

This seems to be a reoccurring issue many developers are having and I was surprised because my app reviews used to take 12 hours max.

However for my last submission, one of my apps is stuck at "In review" status for 3 weeks, despite my several expedite requests and open support case, no update on the status, no response to the communications and the worst part is that everywhere it is mentioned that the review is done within 1-2 days. And the other app was stuck at "Waiting for review" for about a week only to move to in review and get rejected in seconds with generic reason, I did the modifications and resubmitted knowing that it will not be an easy submission.

One of the main concerns that my game got approved on other platforms and the players received a new version of the game while my iOS players are still stuck on the older one, the same for the other game which I newly launched.

I hope Apple workes on fixing this.

That's a thing of the past. The wait time is several days to a few weeks now, depending on the development platform.

Where!? I see a lot of topics under the App Store Distribution & Marketing category by concerned people that they have been waiting for several days to several weeks.

You file an expedite request for the same submission several times. If millions of people do the same, that's basically a DDos, right? So what are you expecting? I would't blame Apple, Inc. for that.

What does that mean? It doesn't sound like a comprehensible, English sentence for me.

Up until June, all my submissions were approved within 12 hours except for one which took 24 hours. So I wouldn't consider it a thing of the past.

I agree with you, I relied on developers past experience and my own submissions rather than Apple's documents regarding the review times.

I didn't mention spamming the request, raising an expedite request every 2 weeks does seem reasonable for me, especially when there is no defined SLA by apple for the review process. But seeing the message saying 90% of the submissions are approved within 24 hours makes me wonder whether there is an issue with my submission, I even sometimes think it is just stuck in the system, I would understand more if it is stuck in "Waiting for review" rather than being stuck at "In Review" for a month with no updates at all.

Android and Apple version miss match and different user experience per platform.
