Apple taking too long to review my brand new app

Hello Developer Community,

We have submitted our brand new app to the app store that many people worked really hard on. We have been waiting anxiously to see what apple says. However, the app never leaves the "waiting to be reviewed" state, and it has been more than a week since we have uploaded it.

We know Apple put back to the queue if we update build and we haven't made any update.

Why its taking too long. We have committed a date our clients it will on App Store by 5th Aug (submitted on 30th July) but no work from Apple yet. Now its creating question on crediblity us from our clients.

I'm in the same situation, it has been extremely frustrating. I have sent an email via the developer page and have been on hold with the support number for an extended period of time with no movement either.

Same situation here. Submitted my app over two weeks ago and nothing. Sent multiple emails, no reply. Called and waited on hold for literal hours. No answer.

It's not like this isn't a paid service. A little freaking transparency here would be nice.

We are also in the same situation. We were supposed to launch our app in July and we are already mid August. The last submission was 2 weeks ago... please can you help us progress these checks..?

Same here. The email I received by Apple upon submitting my new app said that 50% are reviewed within 24 hours, and 90% are reviewed within 48 hours. It's been well over 100 hours now. Unless we're all just in that unlucky 10%, which is totally possible.

My app is totally free, with no ads, no subscription, no data collected, no accounts, etc. I was really hoping it'd be a quick process. Definitely wasn't expecting to be waiting this long, and possibly much longer... It wouldn't be as frustrating if after, say, 60 hours Apple sent an email saying "we're currently experiencing delays, please allow up to 2 weeks" or something like that... But when you don't hear anything from Apple, you're just left worrying that this will be one of those times where, for whatever reason, your app is stuck in "waiting for review" for a month...

We are also in the same situation here. Too disappointed with the Apple review team

The email I received by Apple upon submitting my new app said that 50% are reviewed within 24 hours, and 90% are reviewed within 48 hours.

The average wait time for iOS is 2 weeks, 1 week for macOS, if not longer. I don't have a problem waiting for 2 weeks because it was a lot longer 15 years ago. Yet, I wish they stop misrepresenting themselves by saying an app will be reviewed within 48 hours. I find it quite uncomfortable knowing they continue to misrepresent themselves at the same time they terminate developer accounts for a fraudulent activity.

Please have the Apple review team's professionals come forward with a reasonable explanation. If an app is non-compliant, at least send an email response. Being stuck in a perpetual waiting state for review is truly exhausting.

Same here, submitted 2nd of August and app is still waiting for review. Extremely frustrating when they mention timelines they apparently never make…

I have now tried almost every available channel I can find: Developer Support, App Review contact forms, expedited review, email, and the Developer Forums. But I still have not been able to reach a single person who can even tell me, “We are currently overloaded, we have seen your case, and we will help you by this date.”

Instead, I keep receiving automated Case IDs while the actual problem remains unresolved.

As developers, we pay Apple every year to participate in this ecosystem. I also appreciate the support Apple provides to smaller developers through programs such as the Small Business Program, which allows eligible developers to benefit from a 15% commission rate on paid apps and in-app purchases.

I am genuinely grateful for that support, and I believe independent developers like me also contribute to the value of the App Store by building products, serving users, generating transactions, and continuously investing time and resources into the platform.

That is exactly why it is so difficult to understand who we are supposed to speak to when the review system itself becomes the problem.

Is the support structure only there for submitting apps, or is there also supposed to be a way to get help when a critical App Review issue affects real users?

I am an independent developer with users being affected right now, and it is incredibly frustrating to feel like there is no human point of contact anywhere in the system.

I genuinely hope someone from Apple sees this and can at least acknowledge what is happening. At this point, even a clear response saying that the team is overloaded and when I can realistically expect help would be better than receiving another automated Case ID.
