Waiting for Review for over 2 weeks

Hi. I submitted my very first app for review on July 22. After waiting nearly two weeks, I received the 4.3a Spam rejection notice on Aug 4.

I cleaned up some of my shared framework code, changed some of my images and explained that no app in the marketplace currently does what I'm trying to do. I submitted my appeal via reply on the review on August 5 and I'm still waiting for review. It's been over two weeks and I don't have any indication that anyone is actually looking at this. Most comments talk about the long wait times but it's been over 2 weeks and I don't know what to do next.

Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Hello @Etresoft,

Apple staff have an official Apple badge on their posts. An Apple employee will not ask for private details about an App Review or submission on the Forums, the relevant teams generally already have access to the information required to troubleshoot. When App Review staff engage on the forums, they are generally represented by the username App Review.

Please don't send your app's private features, APIs, or any info if not required to.

When in doubt, communicate only through the official App Store Connect review channel. I'd recommend reporting posts like this when you see them.

The Forums Usage Guidelines and Developer Agreement prohibit misrepresenting your identity or affiliation with Apple.

Thank you for helping bring this to our attention,

I genuinely don't know what information is helpful to provide here.

Whether it's true or not, nobody will take your claim at face value. Neither does the Reviewer. Once they raise a red flag, unless you show some numbers to back up your claim, rejection won't be listed.

Who is "us"? Are you an Apple employee? You don't have the expected Apple logos with your post.

please share a brief overview of your app, including its main purpose, key features, and the problem it is designed to solve.

Yeah. Don't do that. Never share private information on the internet, especially to someone who is pretending to be an Apple employee.

In this case, I'll properly invoke the 1st person plural. We've seen many, many, many identical posts. They've literally taken over the forum. There's no need to supply additional information. We all know those details.

All I can tell you is that continued attempts to push through an app that Apple doesn't want may lead to termination of your entire developer account.

In addition to reviewing posts on these forums, review the App Store itself. If there are a few thousand identical, or even similar, apps, chances are that Apple doesn't need any new ones. You're wasting your time looking at images and shared framework code. Try to come up with a more unique and distinctive app idea.
