Systemic Non-Factual App Review Misconduct

I apologize for bringing this personal dispute to the public forum, but I am desperate and do not know what other channel remains.

After approximately 3.5 weeks, repeated resubmissions, direct telephone contact, and roughly four appeals, Apple continues issuing factually false or unsupported rejection grounds:

  1. Apple stated that my IAP “could not be found in the submitted binary.” I proved that its exact product identifier was compiled into the uploaded executable, that StoreKit was linked, and provided a physical-device recording of a successful sandbox purchase.

  2. Apple stated that account deletion was absent. It already existed, and I provided a physical-device recording demonstrating it.

  3. Apple ordered me to make unspecified “features that are not account based” freely accessible. The app handles sensitive, account-bound data. Despite my request and formal appeal, neither the reviewer nor the Review Board identified a single feature to which this finding applied.

  4. Apple demanded a recording of the app pairing with “designated hardware.” No designated hardware or pairing process exists.

  5. Apple claimed it could not produce background audio. The app contains a functional media player and bundled track, and I provided a physical-device recording proving background playback works.

These are not subjective guideline disagreements. They are specific factual assertions contradicted by the binary itself and recorded evidence. Each time I disprove one finding, Apple replaces it with another unrelated ground.

I need either one competent, consolidated review, approval if the app complies, or a final rejection containing specific and reproducible facts.

Has anyone encountered this, and is there any escalation path remaining that can produce an accountable review?

Thank you for posting this. Yes I'm facing a similar issue, specifically also around the 'Account Deletion' option.

Of course our app has an account deletion function on the Account Manager page. The reviewer presumably failed to find it (or didn't look) and requested a screen recording demonstrating it working, which we provided the same day.

Four days later we received a message saying that the app requires a way for users to delete their account. They've clearly not watched the screen recording we supplied, or followed the original instructions. That was now 9 days ago and we've heard nothing since.

I contacted support to make a complaint on the 24th Aug but nothing so far.

What are you thinking you will try next? Where do we go from here?

A misconduct? A mistake can happen to anyone, probably, except you. If you insist that an IAP is correctly implemented, I would request a screenshot showing that it doesn't appear.
