Adding External Testers shows No Build Available

I am trying to add testers to External Tester groups for a couple of our iOS apps and after adding them it shows "No Builds Available". This is despite the app being available to that External Tester group with other people having already installed the latest version of the app which is "Available" and not expired.

Can someone please fix this? It is so frustrating the number of times I try and release apps to TestFlight and there's some issue blocking me, completely out of my control and I have to rely on someone at Apple fixing something on this terrible AppStoreConnect system.

I am also experiencing this issue. Is there any known workaround or alternative solution available?

Same problem here.

Same problem here. All builds in the list are approved by apple for an external group. I've removed and re-added the user and still says no builds available. Stumped

You are using a wrong email address for TestFlight. That's probably why. I mentioned that a few months ago somewhere. Being new is one story. Not reading old topics to catch up with others is another.

same issue.

Same issue here, very annoying... :(

It seems to be working again now. I managed to send out a couple of invites. Someone at Apple probably turned it on and off again.

I’m experiencing the same issue. Build 1.0 (2) shows “Testing” in my external group, and a tester successfully installed it through a public link. However, all five email-invited testers show “No Builds Available,” and none received an invitation email.

Recreating the external group, adding the build first, and re-adding the testers hasn’t resolved it. I’ve also opened a case with Apple Developer Support.

For those whose invitations started working again, did you need to resend them or remove and re-add the testers, or did they become available automatically?

Same problem here too

I’m seeing the same issue, and unfortunately the workaround is no longer reliable for me either. I have an existing external testing group with a valid build assigned to it. Existing testers can install and use the build normally. When I add a new tester to the same group, that tester shows “No Builds Available”, even though the build is still active and assigned to the group. Initially, removing the build from the group and adding the exact same build again made it available to the new tester. However, this workaround has now stopped working as well. Re-adding the build also sends duplicate notification emails to existing testers, so even when it worked it was not a practical solution. This looks like a TestFlight/App Store Connect issue with build access not being propagated correctly to newly added external testers. Is anyone aware of a current workaround, or has Apple acknowledged this issue?

I was a bit hasty saying it's working again. It is happening with one of my apps today, when adding new external testers to a build which is available and installed by other testers in the same group. The new testers just say "No Builds Available"

Does anyone from Apple read these posts? An acknowledgement of the problem would be nice.

Same problem - Apple just broke it for everybody?

Same issue here as well.

I too am having this issue with a recent external test group. The public link option also does not work, and the customer is reporting "The app isn't available. Try again" and "The beta isn't accepting any new testers right now".

Build is in "Testing" mode, and several re-invites attempted.

Any news on this Apple?
