Waiting for review is taking too much time !!!

My app has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for more than five days, without any progress or communication from App Review.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time. Some submissions move forward within a few days, while others remain waiting for a week or longer with no explanation or meaningful status update.

For developers running an actual business, this is extremely frustrating. App submissions are not simply experiments or hobby projects. Releases, customers, marketing plans, bug fixes, and business commitments can all depend on the review process.

I fully understand that Apple needs sufficient time to properly review applications, but leaving a submission sitting at **“Waiting for Review” for an extended period without even beginning the review is difficult to justify—especially without any indication of the expected timeframe.

Apple provides developers with strict guidelines, deadlines, and requirements, and developers are expected to comply with them. It is reasonable to expect a similar level of predictability and communication from the review process.

Has anyone else recently experienced apps remaining in “Waiting for Review” for 5–7+ days? If so, how long did it eventually take before the review actually started?

I would also appreciate clarification from Apple regarding whether these extended waiting times are currently considered normal or whether developers should contact App Review after a certain number of days.

Same here, mine is "in review" for almost 4 days now.... opened a case and their answer was "everything is ok with review team and if we need anything from you we will ask, otherwise it should be approved..."

Good Luck! Im still waiting since 12 September…!

Laukiame ir mes. Nors musu programa naudojama su prieigos raktu, raktas pateiktas apple, ir matomas rakto aktyvavimas, bet atsakymo jokio ir nesulaukėme

Hi @msaied, you hit the nail on the head regarding how this affects actual business commitments. The lack of transparency right now is unacceptable.

If 5 days feels long, I am currently on Day 27 of this entire nightmare. It took 17 days just for my account enrollment to clear, and now my app has been completely frozen in "Waiting for Review" for 10 days.

The worst part? I actually requested an "Expedited Review" and it was OFFICIALLY APPROVED by Apple. Yet, the status hasn't moved an inch, and support only replies with identical automated templates. The expedited system seems completely broken.

There is clearly a severe, silent backend backlog happening right now. We need actual human engineers to step in and fix this, not bots.

I completely agree. It often feels like Apple takes developers for granted. We pay a recurring annual fee and must follow very strict guidelines, yet communication can be extremely limited. By comparison, Google Play charges a one-time registration fee, and in my experience developers are treated with greater responsiveness. Respect should work both ways. Paying developers deserve transparency, timely reviews, and proper support.

Waiting for review is taking too much time !!!
