App in Waiting for Review since 6 Oct after accepted expedite, live event on 24 Oct

XPLAY App (iOS 1.1.0, build 94, App ID 6761901860), submission ID ad5ad6af-46f7-4805-ab18-2921d143c5f3, has been in Waiting for Review since 6 October 2026.

Timeline:

  • 29 Sep: first submission (1.0). Returned on 30 Sep under Guideline 2.1, Information Needed (new developer account).
  • 30 Sep: everything requested was added (demo account, screen recording, notes on purpose, audience, how to use, external services, regions, regulated activity) and the app was resubmitted.
  • 6 Oct: resubmitted as 1.1.0 build 94. Our logs show the review account signed in from an Apple IP 45 minutes later, but the status never changed to In Review and no message was received.
  • 12 Oct: expedited review request accepted ("We'll expedite review for XPLAY App"). No change since.
  • Developer Support case 102986489031 was escalated to the review team on 11 Oct; case 102995116345 opened 13 Oct. No further update on either.

All agreements are active, there are no messages in App Store Connect, and the build has not been changed since submission.

We have already had to cancel one event because the app was not available and we have another on 24 October. Could someone confirm that this submission is actually in the review queue and whether anything on the account is holding it? Thank you.

Update, 19 Oct. XPLAY App (App ID 6761901860), submission ad5ad6af-46f7-4805-ab18-2921d143c5f3, now iOS 1.1.0 build 98.

Full timeline:

  • 29 Sep: first submission (1.0). 30 Sep: Guideline 2.1 Information Needed (new account). Everything requested was added the same day and resubmitted.
  • 6 Oct: resubmitted as 1.1.0 build 94. A reviewer signed in with our demo account 45 minutes later, then no change for 9 days.
  • 12 Oct: expedited review accepted.
  • 15 Oct: rejected under 2.1(a), crash at launch on iPadOS 27. Cause: the iOS 27 SDK requires the UIScene life cycle and our app still used the app delegate life cycle. iOS 26 devices only logged a warning, so we had not seen it.
  • 16 Oct 00:31 UK: fixed in build 98 (SceneDelegate and UIApplicationSceneManifest), tested on iPad and iPhone on iOS 27, and resubmitted in the same submission with a reply explaining the fix.
  • Since then: Waiting for Review for 3.5 days. Our logs show no reviewer sign-in on build 98.

Developer Support cases 102986489031 (escalated 11 Oct) and 102995116345 are open with no update. We have already cancelled one event because the app was not available, and the next one is on Saturday 24 October.

Could someone confirm that build 98 is in the expedited queue and that nothing on the account is holding it? Thank you.

Update, 28 Oct: build 98 (1.1.0) has now been in Waiting for Review for 12 days since the 16 Oct resubmission, which fixed the iPadOS 27 launch crash (2.1(a)). That's 29 days since our first submission. Expedite was granted on 12 Oct, and our logs show no reviewer sign-in since 6 Oct. Open cases: 102986489031, 102995116345, 103006010014. No messages in App Store Connect.

Could someone from App Review confirm that submission ad5ad6af-46f7-4805-ab18-2921d143c5f3 is in the queue? Thank you.
