Expedited review granted twice, but app still "Waiting for Review" since October 10

Hello,

Our app Profik Pro (Apple ID 6787445540) was submitted for review on October 10, 2026: version 1.1.14 together with its first four in-app purchase products. The expedited review was confirmed right away ("We'll expedite review for Profik Pro"), and again when I re-requested it on October 15. The submission is still in "Waiting for Review" and has never moved to "In Review".

What we have checked:

  • All agreements are Active. We accepted the updated Apple Developer Program License Agreement and Paid Applications Schedule on October 13; banking and tax forms are active too.
  • There are no messages from App Review and nothing marked as action required in App Store Connect.
  • Our other app (Profik, Apple ID 6759965214) was submitted on October 13, reviewed and approved within a day.

We also opened a Developer Support case (102995482417) on October 13 and added the details above, but haven't heard back yet. Phone support currently shows as unavailable.

Is there anything else we can check on our side, for example something about first-time in-app purchases that could hold a submission? Has anyone seen a submission stay in the expedited queue this long?

Thank you!

Update (October 17): On October 15 phone support became available again and I spoke with Apple Developer Support (case 102997214371). They said to expect movement within 48 hours. That time has now passed, and the submission is still in "Waiting for Review". I've added a follow-up to the case. If anyone has gone through something similar and found what helped, I'd really appreciate hearing about it.

Update (October 22): After 12 days in "Waiting for Review" with no movement, we removed version 1.1.14 from review and submitted version 1.1.16 instead, together with the same four in-app purchases, and requested an expedited review again (confirmed). The new build also includes the user-generated content moderation features directly in the binary. I'll post here once there is any progress. Thanks to everyone who looked at this thread.

We've been stuck since Oct 12. Escalation is ineffective and after a 2hr wait on the phone (twice), they told us it's a 'waiting game' now. No visibiility into what's going on and Apple shuts down their phone call back support when they want.

Update (October 27): Still "Waiting for Review" for 1.1.16, now 5 days after the new submission with expedite confirmed. Today Developer Support confirmed by phone that everything on our side is in order and that we just need to wait. @pjetski, same answer here. I hope it moves for both of us soon. I'll post again once there is any progress.

Good Luck! Im waiting september for over three weeks for only one build. Now waiting since 15 october, no answer from apple after several support tickets.

Hi there, good luck to you! My case is since 15 Oct until now (28 Oct, 2 am UTC+7), still “Waiting for review”.

App ID: 6811541016

Update (October 31): The review finally happened today, 9 days after the expedited resubmission. Version 1.1.16 was rejected, but for concrete, fixable reasons.

Guidelines 2.3.3 and 2.3.7: our 6.3-inch iPhone screenshots were marketing frames (a lock screen with a notification instead of the app UI), and one of them mentioned "free" replies, which counts as a price reference. We replaced them with plain screenshots of the app in use.

Guideline 2.1: App Review asked detailed questions about face data, because our app offers optional identity verification through a third-party provider (selfie + ID document). We answered all of them in App Store Connect and quoted our privacy policy.

We replied and resubmitted the same build, and it's back in "Waiting for Review". So if your app is stuck too, it may just be the queue; when it does move, check your screenshots and any third-party SDKs that touch biometrics.

A correction to my earlier comment about phone support: the official hours are listed at https://developer.apple.com/support/worldwide-telephone-hours/ (Europe: Mon–Fri, 08:00–17:00 GMT). Outside those hours the Call option shows as unavailable.
