Renaming an live app

Hi
I have an app in App store with name App1 with bundleID bundleID1. As a part of upgrade I want to change the name of the app to App2. I use the same bundleID1. My new install via test flight shows the new app name App2. But the upgrade via test flight shows the old app name(App1). The Finder, spotlight and dock shows the old appname. I want the Finder, spotlight and dock to show the new app name(App2). What should I do for that?
I have updated CFBundleDisplayName and CFBundleName to new app name(App2).
Thanks

For a macOS app, the name shown by Finder comes from the app bundle you actually install, so first check the built .app in Xcode’s Products folder. Make sure you changed the settings for the macOS target and configuration you archive, not just the iOS target or a Debug-only setting. Check the built app’s Info.plist for CFBundleDisplayName and CFBundleName, then archive and upload that build.

Also check the app bundle’s filename. Finder can show that name in some places, while the display name is used elsewhere. App Store Connect’s product name is a separate setting and changing it doesn’t rename the installed app.

On the test Mac, delete the old app before installing the new TestFlight build, then restart Finder or give Spotlight some time to refresh. If a clean install still shows App1, inspect the archived app’s Info.plist; that will tell you whether the new name actually made it into the build.

Thanks for the reply. Our case is an upgrade case and hence we cant delete the old app.
Fresh Install is working properly. In that case we get the new name (App2 )
