App name search "haniva" is auto-corrected – app not shown in DE/AT/CH

My app "Haniva: Text zu Handschrift" (Apple ID 6812813987) launched on Oct 12, 2026 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. At launch it appeared when searching for its name "haniva". Since around Oct 16 the App Store rewrites the query:

Germany: "haniva" only shows "hanova WOHNEN GmbH"
Austria/Switzerland: "haniva" shows apps about "Hannibal"

My app does not appear at all. "haniva app" and "haniva handschrift" return it as the first or only result, and the iTunes Search API ranks it #1 for "haniva". It also happens on apps.apple.com, so it is not device autocorrect.

Search downloads dropped from 2,831 (Oct 14) to 37 (Oct 17). People who hear about the app on TikTok cannot find it. Developer Support cases: 102999695354, 103004855609, 103004860923. Feedback: FB25285176.

Has anyone had this and gotten the spelling correction fixed?

Because the listing still appears for “haniva app” and in the Search API, it sounds like the app is available and the exact-query result is the part that changed. I’d avoid changing the app name while Apple is looking into it.

In the existing support case, send the storefront, exact search term, date and a recording of the results on apps.apple.com, then ask whether the “haniva” spelling correction can be reviewed. Keeping the cases and FB number linked should help avoid splitting the history across separate reports.
