App stuck in Waiting for Review since October 13 - first app, new developer account

Hello everyone,

I'm a new developer and this is my first app, Frenchie Dash (Apple ID 6822067764), a small offline game about my rescued French bulldog.

Here is the timeline:

  • October 12: first submission. It was reviewed the same day, and App Review asked for more information about my new developer account (Guideline 2.1).
  • October 13: I replied with all the answers and a screen recording from my iPhone, and submitted build 1.0 (2).
  • After that, the submission sat in "Processing" for a whole week and never reached review.
  • October 16: I accepted the updated Apple Developer Program License Agreement and the new Paid Applications agreement. Banking and tax forms are Active.
  • October 20: I removed the stuck submission and submitted the app again.
  • Today, October 22: it is still "Waiting for Review", more than 48 hours later.

I also contacted Developer Support three times (case 102998013460) but haven't received a reply yet, and phone support is currently unavailable.

Has anyone seen this before? Is there anything else I should do on my side? If someone from App Review could take a look, I would really appreciate it.

I've been waiting since Oct 12 as well, on Oct 13th it got rejected due to an EULA issue, I messaged them saying it was fixed and re-submitted. My app has been on "waiting for review" since then. Contacted them twice with no reply.

Thanks for sharing. Same here, so it looks like a wider delay with resubmissions, not something specific to our apps. I'll post an update here if anything changes.

Since you removed the earlier submission and sent it again on Oct 20, I’d treat this as a new wait in the review queue. “Waiting for Review” means Apple has received this submission but hasn’t started reviewing it yet; the earlier week in “Processing” was a separate state and doesn’t tell you where the new submission is in the queue.

You’ve already checked the agreements and replied to the 2.1 request, so I’d leave this submission in place and avoid cancelling and resubmitting again. That would remove it from the queue and start the process over. Check the App Review page and Resolution Center for any new message, and keep following up on the existing support case with the current submission details. The forum can’t see or move your private review queue.

Thank you, that makes sense. I'll leave the current submission in the queue, keep an eye on the App Review page and Resolution Center, and follow up on my existing support case. I'll post an update here once it's reviewed, in case it helps someone else.
