Account Status still Pending

I had this issue for a couple of weeks too. Every time I made the payment it was refunded and I even couldn't see that in my banking transation list. I did a bit of research. I am not a IOS user, I created my Apple account only for my new app. If your icloud is not activated, if you havenot used your credit card ever in appstore, your application might take a long time or may even never proceeded. A simple solution; singn in with an apple device and activate your icloud, and make a small purchase even 90C before you apply for developer program account. My one worked.

@chareng how long are you waiting, and why did It cancel?

I'm located in the USA - been in business for 20+ years - have had the same address - and Apple has zero communication, zero phone calls, zero emails, zero texts... and it has been 2 weeks while their website says 2-3 days. When the communication listed is wrong - when the communication is also at zero - how do companies plan and execute a plan when Apple's communication is at zero!!!?

I just waited a week too and heres the solution:

Don't send emails, those take way too long. Call apple support, and they will open up the account for you. My account was 'stuck' and now it's fixed.

I am also facing the same issue, when I call the support team, they say to request a call from support page but somehow the page redirects back to the home page without requesting a call. How do I contact in that case. Is there any dev support number available?

This got it fixed for me in no time.

Download Apple Developer app in your Iphone, Login with your same Apple ID and Go to Account and Renew it. I did in 1 second. Haha. LOL

My account is still pending for more than 48 hours. I remember when Apple was the gold standard for developers for their fast responses, crystal-clear instructions, and top-notch support. But it seems those days are LONG GONE. Now, I'm lucky if I get a response to my emails within THREE DAYS, and even then, the instructions are unclear! Creating an account used to be a breeze, but now it's like trying to navigate a minefield. This is EXACTLY why we need to support alternative app stores and platforms, like those in Europe. There must be an alternative app store for Apple's systems not just in Europe, but globally
