I am working on automating the Apple Pay integration process in our CI/CD pipeline and would like to confirm whether a fully automated setup is currently possible for our preproduction environment. Right now, our process is as follows: A certificate is generated for the root domain and for each individual merchant subdomain. Both certificates are manually uploaded to our preproduction servers to test and verified via HTTP. We’d like to automate this flow in GitLab CI, mainly the generation of the necessary certificates programmatically or via API. However, from my research, it seems that Apple does not currently provide an API or any support to automate this task, but I’d like to confirm this directly with you. Is there any official support or workaround for this kind of automation? If not, do you have any plans to provide it in the future? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi team, I'm currently trying to add a specific subdomain (with a path) to Apple's Sandbox domain list, but it seems Apple only allows the main domain to be entered. Due to strict client security policies, we aren't allowed to use just the main domain, which is creating a roadblock in our implementation. I've completed the setup required for in-app push provisioning on the iOS platform. Encountering an issue at the completion handler step while sending data back to the PassKit framework. We are having trouble trying to renew our Apple Pay Merchant Identity Certificate. We can create the CSR file and add to the developer portal. We then convert this to a .pem and then a .p12. When we test the certificate in Postman however, we see the following error: "statusMessage": "Payment Services Exception pspId=xxxx unauthorized to process transactions on behalf of merchantId=xxxx reason=xxxx is not a registered merchant in WWDR and isn't properly authorized via Mass Enablement, either.", "statusCode": "417" We are sending the following POST request to 'https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/paymentSession': {"merchantIdentifier": "merchant.com.xxxx.applepaytest", "domainName": "beta-xxxx.com", "displayName": "beta-xxxx.com"} Anyone got any ideas what the issue may be? Hi, We’re a franchise business with over 100 franchisees, and each franchisee has their own unique Merchant ID. We're building a single app that allows customers to place orders, and based on the selected franchisee, the payment needs to be processed through that specific franchisee’s merchant account. However, when we integrate Apple Pay and publish the app, it asks us to provide a payment gateways' Merchant ID, but we don’t use just one – we have many. How can we handle this situation? Is there a way to dynamically use multiple Merchant IDs in one app, depending on which franchisee the customer is ordering from?

On PCI service, receive the encrypted data Payment token, decrypt this data, and use to perform the payment. The problem is, in MasterCard transaction the eciIndicator is missing. Our App Store submission fails with the error: "Missing entitlement com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning" for both Wallet UI and Non-UI extensions. In the Apple Developer portal, we do not see the "Apple Pay" or "In-App Provisioning" capabilities available for our App ID or extension App IDs. This issue began appearing last week without any changes to the codebase or configurations. Steps to Reproduce: Open the app and initiate an Apple Pay payment. Add a valid card if not already present. Confirm the payment using the side button (double-tap). Instead of completing the transaction, a popup appears with a generic message and an "OK" button. Expected Behavior: Apple Pay should process the payment and provide a confirmation or error based on the transaction status. Actual Behavior: A popup appears with a generic title and an “OK” button. The transaction is not processed. I'm implementing Apple Pay for our application via the Apple Pay JS API, and everything works as expected when initiating a session from a Safari browser. However, when attempting to start a session in a non-Safari browser (Chrome in this case), I see the following behavior: The "Scan Code with iPhone" popup appears I scan the code with my device (9th gen iPad running iPadOS 18.5 if that matters) The Apple Pay view does not appear on the device, and the "Scan Code" popup closes on the browser without any further information given. I can see the messages being passed in the network tab, with the final message being a "getPaymentRequestResponse" message appearing at the time the code is scanned. I suspect merchant validation is failing since that should be the next step, but that's just an educated guess at this point. I would appreciate any help getting this issue resolved.

Hi guys, We are trying to implement a solution that would allow users to subscribe to other users in our app. The system should work the same way as Twitch's subscription model works. Users should be able to subscribe to anyone and each subscription should have different tiers. From what we were able to gather, users cannot have multiples of the same subscription on applestoreconnect. Meaning that we would probably need to make a custom subscription per every user? Here we have also learned that there is a limit of 10 000 types of subscriptions and that it is not possible to dynamically create/delete them for users. (correct me if I am wrong) Is there a solution for handling this type of a scenario? Appreciate all answers.

Hello, We’re seeing an issue where the Apple Pay button is visible in Safari but not clickable for certain users, while it works normally for others. This happens on our site (https://store-qa2.enphase.com/ ) as well as on other sites for the same affected users. Currently, we display the Apple Pay button based on the following condition: Boolean(window.ApplePaySession) && ApplePaySession.canMakePayments(); For affected users, the button shows up as expected, but it’s not interactive. All users (both affected and unaffected) are on the latest versions of Safari and macOS/iOS. Could someone clarify what additional conditions Safari/Apple Pay requires for the button to be fully functional? And under what circumstances could it be visible but not clickable?
