Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with the Apple Pay capability on my App ID.
I have created a Merchant ID.
I enabled Apple Pay in the App ID configuration and linked it to the merchant.
However, sometimes when I revisit the App ID in the Apple Developer portal, the Apple Pay capability appears disabled, even though I saved it.
This happens intermittently; at some times the capability is correctly shown as enabled, and other times it disappears.
Context:
I am using Expo Managed Workflow with EAS Build for iOS.
The issue prevents the provisioning profile from including Apple Pay, which causes Stripe isPlatformPaySupported function to return false on ios devices.
Attached:
Screenshots of the App ID page showing Apple Pay enabled and disabled.
Could you please advise why the capability is not being consistently saved, and how to ensure it stays enabled?
Thank you,
Apple Pay

'Company A' is scheduled to merge with its parent company, 'Company B'. Both A and B have Apple accounts.
A's account has one domain registered for Apple Pay integration, while Account B has no domain registered.
We attempted to register A’s domain under B’s account.
However, the notification 'Requested domain name has been verified previously.' appeared, and we could not complete the registration.
Please confirm whether it is correct that a domain already registered under Account A cannot be registered again under Account B.
If we cannot register same domain in two accounts, we believe that the domain registered under A's account must be deleted first and then registered under B's account.
In that case, will payments become unavailable immediately upon deletion of the domain, or will payments still be possible for a certain period of time after deletion?
In our testing, we found that payments were not blocked immediately, but we would like to confirm further.
We are concerned about the possibility of transaction failures during the short period between deleting the domain from A's Account and registering it under B's Account.

Hi Everyone,
My team is working on an online marketplace for FMBs in Saudi Arabia (with a plan to expand to other markets later). We are currently working on integrating multiple payment gateways with embedded Apple Pay support into our platform.
We’ve encountered an issue with the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file. Based on advice from one of our payment partners, we've ensured that the domain association file is uploaded in the correct format. This works successfully with our first payment gateway.
However, for the additional payment gateways we are integrating, we would also like to enable Apple Pay with embedded support. The challenge is that each payment gateway requires its own domain verification, but the verification file uses the same file name. This prevents us from supporting multiple gateways on the same domain.
Has anyone in the house been able to implement a similar solution, or know how we can best implement this?
Please, I'll appreciate advise on how we can configure Apple Pay domain verification to support multiple payment gateways on the same domain? Any specific guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,

We’ve an implementation of apple pay with asia pay as gateway .
We want to access that from external iframe . although we’ve been able to load the apple pay widget not able to validate merchant and tokenize in iframe.
Please let us know if apple pay with asia pay is available to be used within iframe.
We are an issuer attempting to implement In-App Provisioning of Payment Cards leveraging Mastercard MDES and have successfully obtained our entitlement from Apple, but have not received the documentation titled "Getting Started with Apple Pay In-App Provisioning, Verification & Security".
The latest copy I have found has been via Scribd for a version 3.0 from June 2020. I've tried contacting Apple Support and the In-App Provisioning Entitlements group but have had no luck.
Thank you!

We are having trouble trying to renew our Apple Pay Merchant Identity Certificate. We can create the CSR file and add to the developer portal. We then convert this to a .pem and then a .p12.
When we test the certificate in Postman however, we see the following error:
"statusMessage": "Payment Services Exception pspId=xxxx unauthorized to process transactions on behalf of merchantId=xxxx reason=xxxx is not a registered merchant in WWDR and isn't properly authorized via Mass Enablement, either.",
"statusCode": "417"
We are sending the following POST request to 'https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/paymentSession':
{"merchantIdentifier": "merchant.com.xxxx.applepaytest",
"domainName": "beta-xxxx.com",
"displayName": "beta-xxxx.com"}
Anyone got any ideas what the issue may be?
In the meantime I will look at completing our domain verification as that is also due soon and we thought it may possibly have something to do with the certificate issues we are seeing.

We’re attempting to call the Apple Pay Web Merchant Registration API using our Platform Integrator flow and consistently receive 401 Unauthorized, despite successful TLS/mTLS.
Details:
Endpoint: https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant (POST)
Payload:
{
"domainNames": ["breakerfy.com"],
"encryptTo": "platformintegrator.ai.packman",
"partnerInternalMerchantIdentifier": "merchant.ai.packman.1",
"partnerMerchantName": "breakerfy",
"merchantUrl": "https://breakerfy.com"
}
Domain association:
URL: https://breakerfy.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association
What we tried:
We created a Payment Platform Integrator ID (platformintegrator.ai.packman)
We created a CertificateSigningRequest
We used the certificate signing request to create an Apple Pay Platform Integrator Identity Certificate and downloaded the signed certificate.
We exported the Private Key from keychain access in PKCS 12 format
We converted both the private key and the signed certificate to PEM format
We created a merchant id
We used the converted keys to send requests to the API
We received {
"statusMessage": "Payment Services Exception Unauthorized",
"statusCode": "401"
}
we also tried curl with the original p12 file and also had no luck.
What could be the issue ?

PLATFORM AND VERSION
iOS
Development environment: Xcode Version 16.2 (16C5032a), macOS 14.6.1
Run-time configuration: iOS 26
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM
We would like to seek clarification on how to determine whether a card used via Apple Pay is a credit or debit card before sending the transaction request.
Currently, we can retrieve the card type information (credit/debit) from the Apple Pay response payload, but this is only available after the payment has been processed.
However, we need to determine the card type in advance, as our system calculates and applies transaction fees based on the card type, which should be added to the total transaction amount before submission.
Could you please advise if there is any parameter, API field, or pre-authorization mechanism available to identify the card type prior to initiating the transaction request?
We would appreciate your guidance or any related documentation for implementing this.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Initiate Apple pay
Payment from Apple pay
Getting payload
we can retrieve the card type information (credit/debit) from the Apple Pay response payload, but this is only available after the payment has been processed.
We need to identify if there's any way to know the card user selected(whether it is credit/debit) before processing the payment.
We are integrating iOS 16 recurring payments in our app, everything works fine but we have a few questions
Question 1
let recurringPaymentRequest = PKRecurringPaymentRequest(
paymentDescription: "Pro Membership",
regularBilling: regularBilling,
managementURL: url
)
we assume managementURL is supposed to come in the user's wallet where he/she can tap to change the recurring payment option to our backend, but in the wallet, the transaction appears without this URL and have no indication that it is a recurring payment, Can someone guide what we missed
Question 2
For apps that only have apple pay on mobile, managementURL can open the app as a deep link from the Wallet app and the user can update or delete the payment method for the automatic reload payment from the app directly,
Question 3
For cancellation, the recurring payment app should have some UI where the user can tap which hit our backend and remove the apple pay merchant token from our system and apply cancellation business logic, no apple API involves in the cancellation of recurring payment
Hello,
I'm using PassKit with to perform Apple Pay payment in a financial application.
Our approach are:
On iOS application, define PKMerchantCapability threeDSecure and credit, perform apple pay experience and get the encrypted response.
On PCI service, receive the encrypted data Payment token, decrypt this data, and use to perform the payment.
The problem is, in MasterCard transaction the eciIndicator is missing.
I want to know if has some rule or problem about it.
Hi - I have a question. I am trying to understand when Apple Pay will be available on non-IOS desktop devices (specifically Google Chrome). I was hoping to understand better the process, specifically the following:
How can I get the Apple Pay QR code installed on my desktop checkout page on Google Chrome?
How long does this process usually take?
If I work with Stripe, do I need to get approval from them to install the Apple QR code onto my Google Chrome checkout page?
Is this readily available to all merchants (i.e., installing Apple Pay on Google Chrome)/
I have not seen this on any other checkout pages yet. Are there any examples you could point me to of merchants that have installed Apple Pay onto non-IOS desktop so I could trial the process (i.e., a list of existing merchants that have put the QR code onto their Google Chrome checkout pages)?
We are looking for sample payload for merchant registration API.
We have tried to test the api and getting an error.
Request:
curl --location 'https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant'
--header 'Content-Type: application/json'
--data '{
"domainNames": "https://checkout.dev.sandbox-netvalve.com",
"encryptTo": "platformintegrator.com.netvalve.uat",
"partnerInternalMerchantIdentifier": "merchant.test.netvalve",
"partnerMerchantName": "Test"
}'
Response:
{
"statusMessage": "Payment Services Exception invalid or Malformed Json Received",
"statusCode": "400" }

During Apple Pay in-app provisioning (EV_ECC_v2), our iOS app successfully obtains the issuer provisioning certificates and generates cryptographic material. The flow fails when Apple posts the card blob to Apple’s broker (card creation step), returning HTTP 500 from .../broker/v4/devices/{SEID}/cards.
Steps:
Call issuerProvisioningCertificates?encryptionVersion=EV_ECC_v2
→ 200 OK; returns ECC leaf + Apple Root CA chain; nonce=2a831be4.
2. Build {encryptedCardData, activationData, ephemeralPublicKey}
3. POST /broker/v4/devices/{SEID}/cards
Expected: 200 OK on /broker/v4/devices/{SEID}/cards, or 5xx with a descriptive error if payload/cryptography is invalid.
Observed: 500 Internal Server Error from Apple broker on /cards (labeled “eligibility” in PassKit logs), causing a terminal failure in Wallet UI.
Hello Dear Network,
We are developing a banking application and are implementing Apple Wallet
In-App Provisioning with Wallet UI and Non-UI extensions.
Our App Store submission fails with the error:
"Missing entitlement com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning"
for both Wallet UI and Non-UI extensions.
In the Apple Developer portal, we do not see the "Apple Pay" or
"In-App Provisioning" capabilities available for our App ID or
extension App IDs.
We would like to request enablement of:
Apple Pay
Payment Pass Provisioning
In-App Provisioning
for our Apple Developer Team and related App IDs.
Please let us know what we need to do for can upload build with that Entitlements, what can be problem?
Thank you.
We request your support in enabling the extended entitlement feature for our team when creating provisioning profiles. This is because we need to include the ApplePay In-App Provisioning Development extended entitlement in our Bancoagricola app.
Currently, when creating new provisioning profiles, the screen to configure Additional Entitlements is not displayed for our team. However, we have verified with our provider HST (https://hst.com.br/) that this screen does appear in their Apple account.
Thank you very much for your support.
Hello I'm getting an error when the Apple Pay sheet opens on a third party browser like Chrome when completeShippingMethodSelection is called
'DataCloneError: Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'Window': #<Object> could not be cloned.'
I'm also seeing this warning when the apple pay sheet opens
Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'DOMWindow': The target origin provided ('https://applepay.cdn-apple.com') does not match the recipient window's origin
although I also see this warning on https://applepaydemo.apple.com/
I'm facing problem with in-app-provisioning in production application. When we try to tokenize (before T&C step) we are getting error from topic.
I've also posted this in Feedback Assistant: FB18403577.
I'll be very happy if someone could help me to get what is wrong with data or configuration of application.
Is there a way to allow ApplePay to make deferred payments to a suite of stores, or will each store need the user to initially approve a payment manually?

Hi there,
is there a way, or a list of test cards, to simulate error on payment in an Apple Pay sandbox environment ?
I tried different cards mentioned here but every try was successful : https://developer.apple.com/apple-pay/sandbox-testing/

Hi support,
I'm getting the following error when I tried to re-verify my domain:
Domain verification failed. Review your TLS Certificate configuration to confirm that the certificate is accessible and a supported TLS Cipher Suite is used.
I have uploaded the required apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt file and it is reachable from the Internet in the proper location https://www..com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt.
The SSL certificate has been renewed and it offers at least one of required cipher suites based on the Apple document https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepayontheweb/setting-up-your-server.
The current verification will expire soon. Need your help urgently.
Thanks,
YaoF
