I have converted a large part of the data, but only 5% of the data was successfully converted. The failed devicetoken shows "bad devicetoken" when accessing APNS. Here are examples of failed conversions devicetoken. Is there any official documentation for this part?

Got notification to update this certificate - there was a link to Sectigo.com where I found an attachment with that name - when I clicked it I got a box where it said to install it. Clicked the box and it was saved somewhere on my computer.
Now I dont know if that's it or I need to take further actions - please help :-)
Have no experience with this - my collegue who did this has stopped.
Hoping for a simple answer :-)

I am sending push notifications on iOS, and I can receive and display them correctly. I want to be able to dismiss notifications that have been read server-side (e.g. on a different device) so I am trying to send a custom notification payload alongside a badge counter update, that specifies what notification IDs to remove. I then use removeDeliveredNotifications on the IDs I get. However, it doesn't seem to be working. I am setting the identifier using the apns-collapse-id header and I do see that reflected on the device side. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
This is how I'm handling push notifications:
func userNotificationCenter(
_ center: UNUserNotificationCenter,
willPresent notification: UNNotification,
withCompletionHandler completionHandler: @escaping (UNNotificationPresentationOptions) -> Void
) {
let customPayload = notification.request.content.userInfo
if let dismissedNotifications = customPayload["dismissed_notifications"] as? [String] {
center.removeDeliveredNotifications(withIdentifiers: dismissedNotifications)
}
completionHandler([.banner, .sound, .badge])
}
I also tried doing the same thing inside
func userNotificationCenter(
_ center: UNUserNotificationCenter,
didReceive response: UNNotificationResponse,
withCompletionHandler completionHandler: @escaping () -> Void
)
Thank you!

Is there a way to configure the APNS notification sound volume to be louder?
I am implementing some custom sounds(narrative sentences) for APNS, it does play the custom sound, but the volume of the custom sound is not loud enough even though I had set the device's volume and "RingTone and Alerts" volume to max.
I tried to amplify the custom sound file, it does play louder but the result is minimum if I want to maintain the quality of the sound without it been distorted.
I tried to use Notification Service Extension, AVAudioPlayer and AVAudioSession to play the sound, it does play louder in max volume compare with relying on default sound payload in APNS, but the problem is AVAudioPlayer and AVAudioSession do not seems to be usable when the application is in background or killed state, is there any other alternative I could use?
Hi, With the upcoming changes to the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) server certificates — including the SHA-2 Root: USERTrust RSA Certification Authority certificate update — I wanted to clarify if we need to take any action with Salesforce.
I dont want my server to be spammed. Currently I am only in payment-related notifs (eg: user successfully renewed his subscription, user didnt successfully renew his subscriptions, ..)
Where can I set that?

We're trying to add simple notifications to our CarPlay integration that should open certain template when pressed, but the issue is that when pressing this notification on CarPlay screen nothing is invoked in the code (presumably didReceive should be invoked). All works fine with the same notification but pressed on the iPhone screen - didReceive is invoked properly. How should I handle the action when push notification is pressed on CarPlay screen?
I am unable to connect to APNs sandbox push endpoint from our backend servers. It works fine when hitting the request from my local machine but it fails from the infra servers. Here are the complete curl details.
Endpoint: https://api.sandbox.push.apple.com:443
CURL request and response:
curl -v https://api.sandbox.push.apple.com:443
Trying 17.188.168.149:443...

There are no issues with Production endpoint.
Can someone help? Verified all certificates. Everything worked fine until 29th July but started failing since 30th July
According to the Apple notification alert received in October 2024, the APNS server certificate update for production is scheduled for February 24, 2025.
Has this change been implemented, or is there a platform or method to verify whether this update has been applied in production?
If so, where can we check this?"
Hi,
there is a issue that iOS background NFC scanning will only provide a notification result, It need user click to enter my APP, can I have any method to enter my APP directly without user action ?
Is there anyway that I could use AVAudioSession, AVAudioPlayer or anything similar in Notification Service Extension?
I am trying to implement Audio Playback in the Notification Service Extension to play specific audio file when receiving Notification regardless the app state(foreground, background or killed), but I am not able to activate audio session in Notification Service Extension.
NSError *sessionError = nil;
BOOL success = [[AVAudioSession sharedInstance] setCategory:AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayback error:&sessionError];
success = [[AVAudioSession sharedInstance] setActive:YES error:&sessionError];
if (!success) {
NSLog(@"Error activating audio session: %@", sessionError);
}
Below is the error that I got when I am trying to run the code above in Notification Service Extension.
Error Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=561015905 "Session activation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Session activation failed}
I have been working on adding a badge number count to my app, but have run into a really weird edge case. If I have a badge number on my app, delete the application and then re-install it, the badge number still persists on the app icon until I first open the app. I tried looking to see if there is a lifecycle method that is triggered upon uninstalling an app as well as if there is a specific userDefaults attribute to check in order to clear the badge, but I can't find any clear solutions. Does anyone know of a fix to this issue?
In the new update of macOS 26 Tahoe, I have noticed that on my MacBook Air M3, I am not getting a warning when my battery is low or when it's about to go to sleep. My MacBook is just turning off without warning.

I've added a Notification Service Extension as a target to my React Native iOS app following Apple's official documentation. After completing all the setup steps as outlined in the documentation, the notification titles remain unchanged - notifications are arriving without any modifications, suggesting the extension isn't functioning properly.Testing Details:
Sending notifications via Apple Push Notification Console
Tested on iPhone 16 Pro Max (physical device)
Tested on iPhone 15 Pro simulator
Both show the same issue - no title modifications
The extension appears to not be executing at all. Has anyone encountered similar issues with Notification Service Extensions in React Native projects, or can suggest troubleshooting steps to verify the extension is properly configured and running?
Hi Team,
We’re following up on our request for the Critical Alert entitlement for our app, which we plan to use to notify users about critical states of their devices. It’s been almost 4 weeks since we submitted the request, and we wanted to check on the typical review timeline so we can plan our upcoming work accordingly.
If there’s anything we can provide or clarify to help complete the review or make the process easier, we’d be happy to assist. or the right forum to reach out to.

If there is a Notification Service Extension which has the com.apple.developer.usernotifications.filtering entitlement, then does/how having that entitlement affect the preconditions for the NSE to be delivered a push?
Specifically, if the app has not prompted for requestAuthorization() is it expected that the push will be delivered to the NSE or not?
Thank you
When sending a single push notification to iOS 18 devices
users receive the same notification multiple times. This issue appears specific to iOS 18 and was not observed in previous iOS versions
Our server logs confirm each notification is sent only once. Notification payloads include proper apns-id values for identification and no network issues detected on our side
We are currently planning the development of an iOS healthcare application that will require the use of Critical Alerts. I understand that these notifications bypass Do Not Disturb and Silent mode, and therefore require special entitlement from Apple.
We understand that Critical Alerts require a special entitlement from Apple. Could you please clarify:
Do we need to request and obtain Apple’s approval for Critical Alerts before we begin development of the app?
Or can we apply for this entitlement after we have a working build or prototype ready?
We want to ensure compliance and streamline our development process, so any guidance on the appropriate timing for the entitlement request would be greatly appreciated.
Only iOS devices stop receiving notifications after a few days of the app being installed. To resolve this, you need to reinstall the app again.
I'm using Firebase to send messages.
