Question: Is it due to Device being used by reviewer or is it really from my code. As my code relies on Apple infrastructure for purchases and all things.
Initially i did had subscription reporting api for receipt handling and all.When i went through with ChatGPT it did say that issue is due to half baked subscription module on my server. So i decided not to send any Subscription related things to backend, now it's Apple only and on App side.
Is it correct fix ? Or do i need to fix backend even though i have no use for it ?
My team did test in sandbox env via internal testing that time we had no issues. And all was tested using Mobile devices, that's why i still have question just to be sure these errors are due to devices or not?
Screenshot shared by Apple team did show they got a error popup saying Something went wrong : Unable to complete request. I am trying to reproduce in development but can't.
Anyone had got same issue before and has information on how to resolve and test for it will be helpful.

Hi Friends,
I have an iOS app, which uses around 500 in app purchases for various modules. I am using StoreKit for in app purchase, now trying to migrate this to StoreKit 2.
I am using Product.products(for:) method to fetch all the products by sending identifiers of all the 500 In app purchases.
In response, I am getting details of only 160 products, the method is not returning remaining in app purchases.
What could be the reason for this behaviour, how to get rid of the issue?
May be is this the issue will happen only on TestFlight? If someone from Apple assures about it, we have plan to submit the app.

Hello 👋! I'm trying to switch the business model in my app from premium to freemium, gracefully so that existing users aren't bothered. I'd like to provide newly-paywalled content for original paid users. For this to work, I need to use originalAppVersion in AppTransaction, and support iOS 16 at minimum. I've asked about originalAppVersion earlier here.
I've upped to iOS 16 already, but I don't exactly know how to call AppTransaction.shared to get originalAppVersion. The issue lies in the fact that my app is based on SpriteKit, so the operative areas I have available to call AppTransaction are ostensibly limited to AppDelegate and GameViewController.
I'm using the code from Supporting business model changes by using the app transaction, but if I place it in either GameViewController or AppDelegate, for example in application(_:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:) or viewDidLoad(), I get an error concerning async/await. Now, I understand the gist of it: these are not asynchronous methods. So I'm trying to understand how to do it perhaps outside of these methods.

After the user initiates the subscription payment, the SDK returns an error type: user cancels. When the user initiates the payment again, Apple will deduct the payment twice and successfully deduct the previously cancelled SKU. This is a recent occurrence with a large amount of data, and the app has not been upgraded in any way. We need to seek help. Thank you

Hello,
I have a question regarding the App Store Server API's getTransactionInfo endpoint.
Previously, the official documentation for getTransactionInfo mentioned that:
“This endpoint doesn’t support an app transaction. To get information about an app transaction, decode the signed app transaction received from the device.”
However, as of June 2025, I can no longer find this sentence in the current documentation (link). Now, the docs state that all in-app purchase transaction IDs are supported (consumable, non-consumable, auto-renewable subscriptions, etc.).
But in practice, when I call getTransactionInfo with an AppTransactionId (extracted from a signed App Transaction JWS), I receive this error: apiErrorCode: 4000048
“Invalid request. App transactions aren’t supported by this endpoint.”
Is this endpoint supposed to support AppTransactionId now, or is the restriction still in place (but not mentioned in the docs)?
Is there any official statement about when this restriction was added/removed?
Can you clarify if only in-app purchase transaction IDs (and not AppTransactionIds) are supported for this endpoint, or has the policy changed recently?
Any clarification or historical context would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I would like to know about the behavior of an App Transaction in the event of a refund.
If a user receives a refund for the app itself (not an in-app purchase), how can changes to the AppTransaction be detected?
Does the App Store Server Notification v2 provide notifications for app-level refunds, or are such events only visible by decoding the latest App Transaction JWS on the device?
Is there any way to receive app-level refund information server-side, or must we always rely on the device to provide the updated signed app transaction?
Any clarification on this refund flow and notification coverage would also be appreciated.

I don't know if I am posting this in the right place.
I am using xcode's phone simulator and I have setup my sandbox account on appstoreconnect under users and access/sandbox/test accounts
then in my app on the simulator when I tap the subscribe button to purchase my product the a window pops up for in app purchases and I get a login prompt for my sandbox credentials, but no matter how many times I enter them after tapping ok all I get is a blank login prompt.
also not this a brand new sandbox account and I've only changed the password 3 times, that seems to be important because its inconsistent with some of the errors I am getting on the error log

I'm working on an app the has implemented inapp purchases. They have been working so far, and they keep working currently.
But just a couple of days ago, a specific user sent us a support ticket stating that when he purchases and item the bank charges it for the purchase, but within the app, the purchase fails and he doesn't receive the item.
He sent us screenshots showing:
The iOS native modal when a purchases has been finished correctly ("You're all set - Your purchase was successful ").
Right after that modal, the app shows an internal modal showing "The purchase failed, please, try again later".
Checking the app logs, that failure modal was triggered by "The operation couldn’t be completed. (StoreKit.StoreKitError error 1.)".
Reading docs about this error leads me to think about device or user restrictions (parental controls, usage limits, etc...). It seems that in theses cases the bank charge could be issued but refunded later once Apple ultimately declines the purchase.
However the user says that he doesn't have any kind of restriction. The only related thing is a "this device is also restricted by a profile" message, but everyone seems to have this message.
What could it be causing this issue? In what scenariowould the app show a native OK modal but a storekit error 1?
I'm pretty sure the app is well configured because I keep receiving purchases of all kind, from different users with any problem.

I have created a Python app and built it with pyinstaller and codesigned everything. Now I want to Sandbox test it. In my appstore connect account i have created a subscriptions id. I read that if I am logged out from the AppStore and have codesigned my .app file with a Developer Certificate i should be able to run the app on my local mac and when i click on the "Buy" button it should connect to my app store connect setup. I have implemented StoreKit in my app and use a storekit_bridge to combine the .swift code with my python app.

I noticed a very weird behavior for refunds. When a user refunds an up-front paid app, they still have access to the app. How can I detect such a case and block access to the app?
In general, I think it should be handled by Apple, but for some reason, they don't do it.
I’d like to confirm the expected behavior of StoreKit 2 in the Sandbox environment regarding unfinished consumable transactions across devices.
Scenario:
Device A and Device B are signed in with the same Sandbox Apple ID
A consumable in-app purchase is completed on Device A
The transaction may be verified or unverified, but transaction.finish() is not called
The app is then launched on Device B and listens for Transaction.updates

In this scenario, is it expected that Device B will or will not receive a callback for this unfinished consumable transaction?
Or is it by design that unfinished consumable transactions are not guaranteed to be delivered across devices, regardless of verification state?

I’m seeing a consistent one-day discrepancy between the expiresDate returned by the App Store Server API and the “Expires on” date shown in the iOS Settings / App Store subscription list. I’d like to confirm whether this behavior is expected or if I’m misunderstanding the way Apple rounds dates.

The same happens for every monthly renewal and on multiple devices. Region is Japan, device time zone Asia/Tokyo.
What I understand so far (and my hypothesis)
Apple’s docs say a monthly subscription renews “on the same calendar date” of the next month, so renewal in this example is 23 July.
If the renewal is scheduled for 23 July at 14:00 JST, the subscription is fully usable until the end of 22 July in calendar terms, because the new billing period starts the moment the 23rd begins in Apple’s canonical time zone.
Therefore, it might be intentional for the UI to display 22 July—i.e., “you can keep using it through the 22nd; on the 23rd it renews.”
This hypothesis makes sense internally, yet it still looks confusing to end users who read “Expires on 22 July” and assume access ends at 00:00 on the 22nd, a whole day earlier than in reality.
Questions
Is showing the day before the renewal date the official/expected behavior? If so, could Apple clarify that the “Expires on” label represents the last full calendar day rather than the exact expiry timestamp?
Which value should we surface in-app when telling users “Your subscription is valid until …”?
The server’s expiresDate (precise to the second, converted to user time zone), or
A UI-style date that’s one day earlier, matching Settings / App Store?
Does Apple have a public document describing this rounding/visual convention?
Have other developers encountered user confusion about the apparent 1-day “shortening” and, if so, how did you word your in-app messaging?

We feel like we're at the end of the long and treacherous process of migrating to StoreKit2. But we've hit a small snag. When testing in the sandbox environment, we've found that if we don't finish a transactions, no subsequent purchase (invoked via call to purchase or the other purchase) will produce the confirmation sheet. Is this the expected behavior? The behavior is observed on iOS26 and 18.
Our app will only attempt to finish the transaction if it successfully uploads the receipt to our API. If it fails to do so for whatever reason, the transaction is left unfinished. Whilst the user is informed about this, users will commonly try again. Our concern is that since the confirmation sheet will not be shown again, users will not know they are actually paying again - most certainly not the UX we want to have. We'd much rather have our users be fully aware when they're paying us money.
The reason we're choosing not to finish the transaction until our backend has received it and confirmed the receipt to be valid is that the only way the user can get their product is if the server side is aware of this and add more time to the users account. When finishing the transaction via finish immediately after the purchase() call, the confirmation sheet is shown every time after subsequent calls to purchase().
Again, is this the expected behavior both in the sandbox and the production environments? Are we doing something wrong or misusing the product API? We are somewhat stumped because technically, we could get the first confirmation for a product purchase, and then finish it only after an arbitrary amount of calls to purchase() have been made - the user will believe they will have paid only once, but we will receive however much money we can drain from their account - most certainly not the kind of app we want to develop.

I am aware that if withdrawal an Apple account that has a subscription, the subscription will eventually be cancelled.
Regarding Server Notifications V2 notifications with a notificationType of EXPIRED, am I correct in thinking that they will be sent when the subscription expires even if the Apple account is withdrawal?

I'm working on a watchOS app that has an iOS counterpart. There will be a subscription required to unlock functionality and I would like the user to be able to make the purchase on either the iPhone or the watch and have both apps unlock.
The first link below says that StoreKit 2's Transaction.currentEntitlements will not work in this case like it does with extensions. The second link says it might work but doesn't in the sandbox.
What is the best way to make this work? Will it just work in the App Store? Should I use WCSession to send the purchase information from one platform to the other and store it in the keychain? Something else?

I've been trying to make my app available on the App Store for a month now, but I can't because the signatures I created don't appear in the sandbox app. I did all the configuration in the store and in the app. I tested the same code in another app with signatures and it was loaded, but the signature for that specific app doesn't appear. I've tried contacting Apple support, but they can't help me. It almost seems like it's on purpose. I'm treated like crap and they don't even give me an explanation about what's happening.
Can anyone help me?
