In-App Purchase Failing
hello, I have an app with In-App purchase set up, it works fine in TestFlight on an iOS device but the download from the App Store gives me a transaction failed message. I tried to replicate in the simulator but from what I've read is that you can't do in-app purchase testing in the simulator. Perhaps I'm wrong here but I've tried multiple sandbox accounts, etc.. and still get an unusual "...password can't be reused..." error (pasted below) in the debug description. I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this scenario and if so how did you go about researching/identifying the issue and/or resolving it. Where can I check Non-Renewing Subscription purchase history in Sandbox?
Hello, I am currently testing In-App Purchases for my app in the Sandbox environment. Our app has two types of products: Auto-renewable subscriptions Non-renewing subscriptions When testing auto-renewable subscriptions, I can see the subscription in the Sandbox account management screen, and I can perform actions such as: Viewing the active subscription Cancelling the subscription Upgrading or downgrading the subscription However, when testing non-renewing subscriptions, I cannot find the purchase history anywhere in the Sandbox account management screen. Because of this, I cannot verify whether the non-renewing subscription purchase was recorded correctly. My question is: Where can I check the purchase history for Non-Renewing Subscriptions in the Sandbox environment? Is there a specific place in: App Store Connect Sandbox account settings Or somewhere else where these purchases can be reviewed? Thank you in advance for your help.

Issue that subscription products (monthly subscription and annual subscription) cannot be obtained from App Store Connect
Dear my friends, I have set up two subscriptions (monthly and annual) in App Store Connect. By configuring with StoreKit, I can import the configurations from App Store Connect into the local .storekit file, and the program can run normally. However, when the StoreKit configuration is set to NONE, I am unable to retrieve product information from App Store Connect. The code for fetching the product list is as follows. Could you please provide suggestions on how to proceed? Notification Received on Consumable Purchase
Hello, I am encountering an issue where I receive an App Store Server Notification V2 upon the purchase of a consumable item. I have configured the App Store Server Notification V2 endpoint to handle notifications related to subscription products. However, I did not expect to receive notifications for consumable purchases. The notification includes the following signedPayload decoded into the ResponseBodyV2DecodedPayload object with the following values: notificationUUID: 3cd6410b-0c89-4247-aba5-20710e79895e notificationType: null subtype: null The transaction information decoded from the ResponseBodyV2DecodedPayload object is as follows: transactionId: 2000000633622618 webOrderLineItemId: null productId: heart_2 To debug, I called the Get Notification History API of the App Store Server API, and the mentioned notification for the consumable product purchase is not included in the history. Only notifications related to subscription product purchases are retrieved. According to the notification type documentation, there is no explanation for cases where both notificationType and subtype are null, nor is there any mention of receiving notifications for consumable purchases. Therefore, I am uncertain how to interpret and handle this notification. Could you please provide an explanation or guidance on this issue? Thank you. In-App Purchase products suddenly not returned by queryProductDetails
Hi, We're currently experiencing an issue with consumable In-App Purchases on our production iOS app. Until the end of May, everything was working as expected, but starting in early June, our app no longer receives any products when calling queryProductDetails() using Flutter’s in_app_purchase plugin (which utilizes StoreKit). Here’s what we’ve confirmed so far: The product IDs are correctly configured in App Store Connect, and all items are marked as “Approved.” No recent changes have been made to the bundle ID or the product IDs. The “Base Territory” setting was updated for each IAP item in early May. After that change, product retrieval and purchases were working normally through the end of May. This issue is happening on real devices in production, and multiple users are affected. The same functionality continues to work correctly on Android. All requested product IDs are being returned in the notFoundIDs list of the queryProductDetails() response. We're quite puzzled by this issue as no clear cause has been identified so far. Any thoughts on this issue would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Transaction.updates sending me duplicated transactions after marking finished()
Hey y'all, I'm reaching out because of an observed issue that I am experience both in sandbox and in production environments. This issue does not occur when using the Local StoreKit configurations. For context, my app only implements auto-renewing subscriptions. I'm trying to track with my own analytics every time a successful purchase is made, whether in the app or externally through Subscription Settings. I'm seeming too many events for just one purchase. My app is observing Transaction.updates. When I make a purchase with Product.purchase(_:), I successfully handle the purchase result. After about 10-20 seconds, I receive 2-3 new transactions in my Transaction.updates, even though I already handled and finished the Purchase result. This happens on production, where renewals are one week. This also happens in Sandbox, where at minimum renewals are every 3 minutes. The transactions do not differ in transactionId, revocationDate, expirationDate, nor isUpgraded... so not sure why they're coming in through Transaction.updates if there are no "updates" to be processing. For purchases made outside the app, I get the same issue. Transaction gets handled in updates several times. Note that this is not an issue if a subscription renews. I use `Transaction.reason I want to assume that StoreKit is a perfect API and can do no wrong (I know, a poor assumption but hear me out)... so where am I going wrong? My current thought is a Swift concurrency issue. Apple Pay v2 (signedTransactionInfo) : how to verify new token format and migrate from legacy EC_v1?
I’m updating a legacy application that used Apple Pay v1 token format, and in my new revamped version I’m now receiving the newer Apple Pay v2 format. The old (v1) payload looked like this: php { "version": "EC_v1", "data": "...", "signature": "...", "header": { "ephemeralPublicKey": "...", "publicKeyHash": "...", "transactionId": "..." } } In the new revamp (v2), Apple Pay returns this instead: php { "signedTransactionInfo": "eyJhbGciOiJFUzI1NiIsIng1YyI6WyJNSUlF..." } From what I understand: v1 tokens were elliptic-curve encrypted JSON objects containing a header and signature. v2 tokens seem to be JWS (JSON Web Signature) strings using the ES256 algorithm, possibly containing transaction and subscription details inside. Questions Is there any official Apple documentation or migration note explaining the move from EC_v1 → signedTransactionInfo? How should I verify or decode the new signedTransactionInfo payload? Should the verification now use Apple’s public keys instead of the legacy Merchant ID certificate? Are there any example implementations or SDKs that can handle both v1 and v2 formats during migration? Is there a recommended way to maintain backward compatibility while transitioning existing users? Goal Ensure that my revamped app can handle Apple Pay v2 tokens securely while keeping the legacy v1 integration functional until all users are migrated.

In-App Purchases rejected + Reviewer cannot complete purchase although sandbox works fine (StoreKit2)
Hi everyone, I’m experiencing an issue with In-App Purchases during App Review. What works My consumable IAP products load correctly using StoreKit2. TestFlight (sandbox) purchases work perfectly. Localizations are filled in and valid. Paid Apps Agreement, banking, and tax forms are active. IAP products are properly created in App Store Connect and marked as “Developer Action Needed” only because they wait for approval with the new binary. What fails During review I received: “We found that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience. Specifically, we were not able to complete a purchase.” They didn’t provide any more technical details. Additional context The StoreKit configuration file is not included in the app archive. Product identifiers perfectly match those in App Store Connect. StoreKit2 purchase() works as expected on TestFlight. The app does not use server-side receipt validation - purchases are handled purely through StoreKit2 APIs, as recommended. My questions What could cause a situation where TestFlight purchases work but App Review cannot complete a purchase? Does Apple expect server-side receipt validation even for simple one-time consumables? Could there be a delay or sync issue causing IAP products to not be available to the reviewer yet? Is there anything I should check on the App Store Connect side beyond what I already verified? Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated - I’m stuck because everything works in sandbox but fails only for reviewers. Thanks!

StoreKit2, IAP not instantly shared with Family
Hey folks! In one of our apps we're using the FamilyControls framework to manage the screentime for the child. The app requires the Guardian to activate a subscription on his/her device to enable the functionality for the Child on the child device. We're currently using StoreKit 2 to get notified when there is an active subscription. The issue we're seeing (and our users) is that an activated subscription isn't instantly propagated to the Family members, in this case the device belonging to the child. Is this a known bug, and are the possible any workarounds? Currently we have to ask our users to "Restore Purchase" or wait minutes/hours for the app to active, which isn't a viable solution. Issues with Promotional Offers — Purchase Fails or Discount Not Applied
I am developing and testing Apple Promotional Offers and encountered issues during implementation. Purchase Failure When using the following API, the promotional purchase sheet is displayed, but after attempting payment, the transaction fails. API: public static func promotionalOffer( offerID: String, keyID: String, nonce: UUID, signature: Data, timestamp: Int ) -> Product.PurchaseOption Observed behavior: Alert shows: Unable to Purchase [Environment: Xcode] Not Eligible for Offer Console logs: AMSErrorDomain Code=305 ASDErrorDomain Code=3903 Discount Not Applied When calling this API, there are no errors, but the promotional price is not applied, and the user still sees the original price. API: public static func promotionalOffer( _ offerID: String, compactJWS: String ) -> [Product.PurchaseOption] Questions Does Promotional Offers support testing with .storekit files in Xcode? Can Promotional Offers be tested with sandbox accounts using real offers configured in App Store Connect? How should I troubleshoot and resolve the above issues? • Could it be related to the subscription history of the sandbox account? • Do I need to use TestFlight instead of Xcode to test certain scenarios? • Could this be caused by signature parameters or StoreKit configuration?

in-app purchases
I implemented consumable in-app purchases in an iPhone app using ProductView(). When I tap the payment button in ProductView(), I am taken to the payment screen and once the payment is completed the next code seems to be executed, so there doesn't seem to be a problem, but if I tap the payment button in ProductView() again, the next code is executed without taking me to the payment screen. This means that a single payment can be made multiple times. Can someone help? 'Invalid value for purchase intake' error
Hello, I recently saw this error from StoreKit in the Console - 'Invalid value for purchase intake' - while debugging a SKPayment subscription issue (where a valid receipt should be verified and restored, but isn't for one user). I haven't been able to find any documentation about this message and wondered if it was related at all. There were two other logs from StoreKit right before saying: 'Found 3 products in receipt with ID' 'Processing ad attribution purchase intake' Does anyone know what 'invalid value for purchase intake' is referencing? We don't have the AdAttributionKit implemented. It sounds like it might be related to that instead? Thank you

integrating In-App Purchases on PWA.
I am trying to launch a PWA as an application on App Store, and got rejected cause of In-App Purchases. Application is about content generation and selling subscriptions for premium content. So thats why needed to implement In-App Purchases. I have created wrapper via PWABuilder. And it is looking great so far, now my question is about How can I implement In-App Purchases in the bundle which is already created. Any suggestions will be appreciated. More clarification:- I have that product running on Web right now, we have integrated Stripe for payment handling for subscriptions. If there is nothing we can do for In-App Purchases then we have to make purchases on website and then user will be able to experience the changes. We tried that, but then we got rejected for showing locked premium content on user's feed. Also can't show any CTA or Subscribe text or button.

SKErrorDomain Code 2 Problem
We are facing a serious issues with in app purchases in our app. We offer 3 IAP: auto-renewable subscription 1W, auto-renewable subscription 1Y, non-consumable one-time purchase (LifeTime access) In our case 90-95% of transactions fail and we mostly get SKError code=2 . Sometime purchase fails several times for the same user so it’s very hard to believe that user intentionally cancels transaction for the same product 4 or even 5 times in a row. It happens regardless iOS version, device model, our app version. We've checked multiple threads with the same issue but coudn't find any solution. We do not offer any promotions, product identifiers are valid... Some users are able to make a purchases without any issues.

"In-App Purchases are not allowed" Error Persists After All Troubleshooting Steps
Hello, I am consistently receiving the error message "In-app purchases are not allowed on this device" whenever I try to make an in-app purchase on my iOS device. Despite following all the recommended solutions I could find online, the issue remains unresolved. Here is a list of the steps I have already taken: Checked Screen Time Settings: I navigated to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases. I have confirmed that "In-App Purchases" is set to "Allow." I have also tried toggling this setting off and on again. Signed Out & In of Apple ID: I signed out of my Apple ID via Settings > [Your Name] > Media & Purchases, restarted the device, and then signed back in. Restarted the Device: I have force-restarted my device multiple times. Updated iOS: I have ensured my device is running the latest version of iOS (checked via Settings > General > Software Update). Verified Payment Method: I have confirmed that my payment method on file is valid and up-to-date. Created a New Sandbox Account: I also created a new Sandbox Tester account in App Store Connect and tested with it, but the result was the same. Device Information: Device Model: iPhone 15, iPhone 13 iOS Version: iOS 17.5, iOS 18 Even after performing all of these steps, the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered such a stubborn issue, or does anyone have a different solution I could try? Thank you in advance for your help.

Does scheduling a price change of a subscription while keeping the original price for existing subscribers trigger messaging to those users?
We're planning on increasing the price of our ios in-app subscription. We will select the option "Keep the current price for existing subscribers" Reading this https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/manage-pricing-for-auto-renewable-subscriptions/, it's not clear if existing subscribers will be notified of the change in pricing (even though that change won't impact them) or not?

Subscribers of App1 have access to App2??
Hi there, I have a plan of creating another app in the same niche, but I would like the actual subscribers to have access to the new app. So the subscribers of App 1 don't need to subscribe to App 2. Is that possible? Thanks Pedro M.R. Gregorio

Questions Is there any official Apple documentation or migration note explaining the move from EC_v1 → signedTransactionInfo? How should I verify or decode the new signedTransactionInfo payload? Should the verification now use Apple’s public keys instead of the legacy Merchant ID certificate? Are there any example implementations or SDKs that can handle both v1 and v2 formats during migration? Is there a recommended way to maintain backward compatibility while transitioning existing users? Goal Ensure that my revamped app can handle Apple Pay v2 tokens securely while keeping the legacy v1 integration functional until all users are migrated.

In-App Purchases rejected + Reviewer cannot complete purchase although sandbox works fine (StoreKit2)
Hi everyone, I’m experiencing an issue with In-App Purchases during App Review. What works My consumable IAP products load correctly using StoreKit2. TestFlight (sandbox) purchases work perfectly. Localizations are filled in and valid. Paid Apps Agreement, banking, and tax forms are active. IAP products are properly created in App Store Connect and marked as “Developer Action Needed” only because they wait for approval with the new binary. What fails During review I received: “We found that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience. Specifically, we were not able to complete a purchase.” They didn’t provide any more technical details. Additional context The StoreKit configuration file is not included in the app archive. Product identifiers perfectly match those in App Store Connect. StoreKit2 purchase() works as expected on TestFlight. The app does not use server-side receipt validation - purchases are handled purely through StoreKit2 APIs, as recommended. My questions What could cause a situation where TestFlight purchases work but App Review cannot complete a purchase? Does Apple expect server-side receipt validation even for simple one-time consumables? Could there be a delay or sync issue causing IAP products to not be available to the reviewer yet? Is there anything I should check on the App Store Connect side beyond what I already verified? Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated - I’m stuck because everything works in sandbox but fails only for reviewers. Thanks!

StoreKit2, IAP not instantly shared with Family
Hey folks! In one of our apps we're using the FamilyControls framework to manage the screentime for the child. The app requires the Guardian to activate a subscription on his/her device to enable the functionality for the Child on the child device. We're currently using StoreKit 2 to get notified when there is an active subscription. The issue we're seeing (and our users) is that an activated subscription isn't instantly propagated to the Family members, in this case the device belonging to the child. Is this a known bug, and are the possible any workarounds? Currently we have to ask our users to "Restore Purchase" or wait minutes/hours for the app to active, which isn't a viable solution. Purchase Date and Original Purchase Date format
We are running into exceptions when trying to parse Purchase Date and Original Purchase Date from the base64 encoded receipt. Expected RFC 3339 format of ASN.1 Field Value is: yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssZ but we end up getting back 2025-04-22T19.49.03Z. Started to happen on 3rd Dec 2024.

Issues with Promotional Offers — Purchase Fails or Discount Not Applied
I am developing and testing Apple Promotional Offers and encountered issues during implementation. Purchase Failure When using the following API, the promotional purchase sheet is displayed, but after attempting payment, the transaction fails. API: public static func promotionalOffer( offerID: String, keyID: String, nonce: UUID, signature: Data, timestamp: Int ) -> Product.PurchaseOption Observed behavior: Alert shows: Unable to Purchase [Environment: Xcode] Not Eligible for Offer Console logs: AMSErrorDomain Code=305 ASDErrorDomain Code=3903 Discount Not Applied When calling this API, there are no errors, but the promotional price is not applied, and the user still sees the original price. API: public static func promotionalOffer( _ offerID: String, compactJWS: String ) -> [Product.PurchaseOption] Questions Does Promotional Offers support testing with .storekit files in Xcode? Can Promotional Offers be tested with sandbox accounts using real offers configured in App Store Connect? How should I troubleshoot and resolve the above issues? • Could it be related to the subscription history of the sandbox account? • Do I need to use TestFlight instead of Xcode to test certain scenarios? • Could this be caused by signature parameters or StoreKit configuration?

in-app purchases
I implemented consumable in-app purchases in an iPhone app using ProductView(). When I tap the payment button in ProductView(), I am taken to the payment screen and once the payment is completed the next code seems to be executed, so there doesn't seem to be a problem, but if I tap the payment button in ProductView() again, the next code is executed without taking me to the payment screen. This means that a single payment can be made multiple times. Can someone help? 'Invalid value for purchase intake' error
Hello, I recently saw this error from StoreKit in the Console - 'Invalid value for purchase intake' - while debugging a SKPayment subscription issue (where a valid receipt should be verified and restored, but isn't for one user). I haven't been able to find any documentation about this message and wondered if it was related at all. There were two other logs from StoreKit right before saying: 'Found 3 products in receipt with ID' 'Processing ad attribution purchase intake' Does anyone know what 'invalid value for purchase intake' is referencing? We don't have the AdAttributionKit implemented. It sounds like it might be related to that instead? Thank you

integrating In-App Purchases on PWA.
I am trying to launch a PWA as an application on App Store, and got rejected cause of In-App Purchases. Application is about content generation and selling subscriptions for premium content. So thats why needed to implement In-App Purchases. I have created wrapper via PWABuilder. And it is looking great so far, now my question is about How can I implement In-App Purchases in the bundle which is already created. Any suggestions will be appreciated. More clarification:- I have that product running on Web right now, we have integrated Stripe for payment handling for subscriptions. If there is nothing we can do for In-App Purchases then we have to make purchases on website and then user will be able to experience the changes. We tried that, but then we got rejected for showing locked premium content on user's feed. Also can't show any CTA or Subscribe text or button.

SKErrorDomain Code 2 Problem
We are facing a serious issues with in app purchases in our app. We offer 3 IAP: auto-renewable subscription 1W, auto-renewable subscription 1Y, non-consumable one-time purchase (LifeTime access) In our case 90-95% of transactions fail and we mostly get SKError code=2 . Sometime purchase fails several times for the same user so it’s very hard to believe that user intentionally cancels transaction for the same product 4 or even 5 times in a row. It happens regardless iOS version, device model, our app version. We've checked multiple threads with the same issue but coudn't find any solution. We do not offer any promotions, product identifiers are valid... Some users are able to make a purchases without any issues.

"In-App Purchases are not allowed" Error Persists After All Troubleshooting Steps
Hello, I am consistently receiving the error message "In-app purchases are not allowed on this device" whenever I try to make an in-app purchase on my iOS device. Despite following all the recommended solutions I could find online, the issue remains unresolved. Here is a list of the steps I have already taken: Checked Screen Time Settings: I navigated to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases. I have confirmed that "In-App Purchases" is set to "Allow." I have also tried toggling this setting off and on again. Signed Out & In of Apple ID: I signed out of my Apple ID via Settings > [Your Name] > Media & Purchases, restarted the device, and then signed back in. Restarted the Device: I have force-restarted my device multiple times. Updated iOS: I have ensured my device is running the latest version of iOS (checked via Settings > General > Software Update). Verified Payment Method: I have confirmed that my payment method on file is valid and up-to-date. Created a New Sandbox Account: I also created a new Sandbox Tester account in App Store Connect and tested with it, but the result was the same. Device Information: Device Model: iPhone 15, iPhone 13 iOS Version: iOS 17.5, iOS 18 Even after performing all of these steps, the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered such a stubborn issue, or does anyone have a different solution I could try? Thank you in advance for your help.

Does scheduling a price change of a subscription while keeping the original price for existing subscribers trigger messaging to those users?
We're planning on increasing the price of our ios in-app subscription. We will select the option "Keep the current price for existing subscribers" Reading this https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/manage-pricing-for-auto-renewable-subscriptions/, it's not clear if existing subscribers will be notified of the change in pricing (even though that change won't impact them) or not?
