New wallet pass types
I have a few products that want to integrate with the Wallet, but want to display very specific domain information. Since there isn't a 1:1 lab for wallet this year I'll vaguely post my feedback here. FB21642083 - Allow developers to add domain type cards to wallet and passes Happy to have further discussion in Feedback.

Pass Designer and pkpasstemplate
We implement with eduTAP (https://eduTAP.eu) a Framework for Universities to easily adopt wallet Passes in Europe (or globally). The new Pass Designer Sounds Great and the pkpasstemplate Idee very promissing and helpful. Will there also be more Details for additional passtypes Like Access Passes or Identity Passes on how to Design them, without relying on vendors? In the Log run only identity wallet will fullfil the European legal requirements for Student IDs, not the access Passes currently promoted by Apple. They will Stay for closed Loop payments and physical Access Control but not as a Student Identity card. Which is Most often used off-campus.

What is "guest key?"
In the WWDC presentation, a "guest key" was mentioned, but only in relation to watchOS. Are there any more details about that somewhere? I can't find it on the developer documentation for either Home or Wallet. https://9to5mac.com/2026/06/09/top-watchos-27-features-that-will-enhance-your-apple-watch/

Recommended lifecycle for prepared MobileDocumentReaderSession
For high-throughput in-person ID Verifier flows, is it recommended to call MobileDocumentReader.prepare() before the operator starts a check and cache the prepared MobileDocumentReaderSession for one later requestDocument call? Or should apps only call prepare() after explicit user intent? If prewarming is supported what should invalidate a prepared session?

Payment card roadmap features
We are an issuer processor for payment cards. Our TSP is Discover. Two questions about payment card features in Apple Wallet that we and our users would really love to see. Live balance on the face of a prepaid card in Apple Wallet. Currently, this is not something we can do inside Apple Wallet. Curious if Apple has a payment card balance display feature anywhere on the roadmap (I believe there is a similar feature called "connected cards" but it's not globally available and not exactly the same) Custom push notification into Apple Wallet for a card, similar to how Apple displays notifications of purchase receipts, except controlled by card issuer processors. As a bonus, it would be great to send rich text messages with deep links to our own app.

Recommended Display Only request for Photo ID + mDL age checks
I’m building an in-person ProximityReader ID Verifier Display Only flow for venue age checks. Right now on iOS 26, we use a single MobileDocumentDisplayRequest with allowedDocumentTypes: [.photoID, .driversLicense] and only request ageAtLeast(21). For reliability and broad credential support, is that the recommended request shape for both Passport-derived Photo ID and mobile driver’s license / State ID? Or should apps implement separate request paths when they want to support both document families? Trying to optimize for the most predictable Wallet behavior. Thank you!

Identity Wallet Passes
As European Universities do need selective Selective Disclosure Verifiable Credentials (mDoc ISO 18013-5, SD-JWT, or W3C VD Date Model) for their student IDs and most usage of student and Heigher Education Institutions IDs are off campus, neither Apple VAS nor Apple Access Passes are sufficent. When will the Identity Wallet (Like TSA Approved Passes in the US) will be avaliable for broader usage?

New Wallet Designer App requirements
I was glad to see the Apple provided wallet pass designer app. Unfortunately, it requires macOS 27. Where are the requirements documented, I didn't catch them anywhere. For example, if I upgrade a Neo (non M-series), will it work there too? Is macOS 27 the only requirement to run it?

Entitlement Request: com.apple.developer.passkit.pass-presentation-suppression
Great Morning, We would like to request the entitlement: com.apple.developer.passkit.pass-presentation-suppression Use Case: Our application provides NFC-based mobile key access for hotel guests.  When the device is presented to an NFC reader (door lock), iOS automatically  launches Apple Wallet, interrupting the in-app unlock experience. We need to suppress Wallet presentation while the app is in the foreground to allow a seamless “tap-to-unlock” experience. Please let us know if additional information or agreements are required. Thank you.

Where does wallet data (passes) reside
Hello i am developing an apple wallet coupon/store card integration and as each pass will hold sensitive data (tokens referencing access to the monetary amount) i am concerned of the security implications of having a passkit-pass in ios stored as well as in icloud. Documentation is scarce if the pass is also stored on apple servers. It seems to be stored at least temporarily for synching with other devices of the same icloud user. Can you give details to the kind of data, encryption, duration of persistence of the pass data on centralized apple servers? Best Regards

Tap to Pay on iPhone – question about flow after “Prerequisites”
Hello, I’m trying to better understand the implementation flow for Tap to Pay on iPhone. In a partner onboarding portal (Partner Hub), the process is presented in the following stages: • Registration • Prerequisites • Operations & Setup • Certification • Launch However, it’s not clear what actually changes after completing the “Prerequisites” stage. Questions: After completing “Prerequisites”, are there any changes in terms of entitlements or capabilities provided by Apple? Is access to Tap to Pay functionality enabled at this point, or does it depend on steps outside of Apple’s developer environment? At what stage is the production entitlement typically granted? Is there any Apple-specific action required between “Prerequisites” and “Operations & Setup”? I would appreciate any clarification on how this transition works from Apple’s perspective. Thank you.

Digital Wallet - Test devices - Orange Rule
We have tried using multiple test devices to dev and test Digital Wallet provisioning and unable to do it successfully as the rule decision goes into orange flow. This is a blocker for our project involving digial wallet provisioning testing. Is there a way that our test devices could be excluded from hitting orange rule so we can continue with provisioning?

How to Integrate Apple Wallet with Custom FinTech Apps
Hi everyone, With the rapid growth of digital banking, payments, and AI-driven financial services, building secure and scalable FinTech apps on iOS has become more complex than ever. From handling sensitive user data to ensuring compliance and seamless performance, iOS developers face multiple technical challenges. Key areas that usually require deep expertise include: Apple Pay and Wallet integrations Secure authentication (Face ID / Touch ID / biometrics) Real-time transaction processing Core ML for financial predictions SwiftUI dashboards for financial analytics Data encryption and regulatory compliance https://www.nimbleappgenie.com At Nimble AppGenie, we’ve worked extensively as a FinTech app development expert, helping startups and enterprises design and build iOS financial applications that are secure, scalable, and user-centric. Our experience shows that the most successful fintech apps are those that balance strong security architecture with intuitive UX and performance optimization. I’m interested to hear from the community: What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced while building fintech apps on iOS? Are there any recent iOS updates or Apple frameworks that significantly improved your fintech workflows? How are you handling compliance and security in production apps? Looking forward to learning from everyone’s experiences and best practices.

InApp push provisioning
I´m tring to integrate InApp push provisioning but when I send the information from the issuer to SDK to add my debit card to wallet I saw this error: PKPassKitErrorDomain Code 2 error Looking in the forum I found how to see part of the logs to get more detail on the error and I found: POST https://pr-pod9-smp-device.apple.com:443/broker/v4/devices/04131B65D01590022288082867404947F3CCA674C3D41F3C/cards/683986c983984251b9aecfc8ff51d88a/enable 'Error Domain=PKPaymentWebServiceErrorDomain Code=0 "Error inesperado." Custom HCE payment UI
We are currently developing a wallet solution that uses the iOS EEA HCE API. During the development of our solution we have been unable to identify how we can opt out of using the native HCE payment modal screen or biometric authentication UI so that we can customise the experience to align with our overall customer experience. The only available customisation is a label below the title of the screen which does not meet our needs. Please can you advise how we can opt out of using the native HCE payment modal screen. If it is not possible to opt out of using the native HCE payment modal screen, please can you provide the rationale for this given the Digital Marketing Act interoperability guidelines and EU Commitments in case AT.40452.

Apple Wallet Pass is not receiving push notifications
Hi! I have set up an APNS API that sends push notifications to update my Apple Wallet pass. I am using the APN library and a .p8 key for APNS push notifications. I keep getting 200 responses and "sent successfully" logs, but Apple Wallet is not receiving the notification. Which configuration or payload should I check to make it work? Thanks
