MacOS PKG Notarization status is Rejected with status code 7000
I developed a macOS application and have already signed the pkg package. However, when I submitted it for notarization using the following command: xcrun notarytool submit --signed.pkg --apple-id "**@gmail.com" --team-id "2*******M" --password "this is password" --wait I received a "Rejected" status. The log provided the following details: "logFormatVersion": 1, "jobId": "f5f3751d-b449-4a2f-b905-32d38ab5963b", "status": "Rejected", "statusSummary": "Team is not yet configured for notarization. Notarization of Electron MacOS App taking too long
I started the notarization process for my electron app (just a browser window loading a URL) yesterday (26/03/2025) at around 05:23 GMT. I noticed in a couple of posts here in the forum that it may sometimes take a day to notarize the first app submitted by a team, but it has been over 30 hours since I submitted the app for notarization Here's the log. createdDate: 2025-03-26T05:23:11.102Z id: ddcb3fca-4667-4acb-8fd1-3298a7c244cc name: xolock-browser.zip status: In Progress Is there any reason why it is taking so long? Thanks in advance!

notary tool consistently delay for 1 of my app even it already accepted multiple times
Hi, I recently got a consistent delay from notary tool. I have viewed all your suggestions and understand that it "occasionally" will have further review and take longer time, but then it will be faster. However, in my case, my app although is accepted many times. It is still significantly delay. It is a native macOS app called ConniePad. Whenever I submit, it took me 2 days or more to finish notarise, which significantly affect my business. Could you please have a look on it. For log detail about the time, and the ids: -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-04-05T22:54:45.815Z id: 998b5aa8-fc9c-4469-98fe-950d815e734e name: ConniePad.app.zip Notarization taking 12+ hours
I submitted a Mac application for a safari ad blocker extension about 15 hours ago and it's still in progress. Is it normal for notarization to take this long? It's my first time submitting something for notarization so maybe that's why it's taking longer than expected? ID: 8BDB3D5E-3A42-469F-9479-AC76229C6BB5

I got my app notarized but I am still getting the malware warning message
Hello, I recently had my Electron app notarized by Apple and then performed the following steps: Stapling the Notarization Ticket: xcrun stapler staple "appPath/Aiparalegal.app" Zipping the App for Distribution: ditto -c -k --keepParent "appPath/Aiparalegal.app" theAIParalegal.zip However, after unzipping and attempting to launch the app, macOS displays the following message: Apple could not verify "theAIParalegal" is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy. Yet, when I run validation using: xcrun stapler validate "theAIParalegal.app" I receive confirmation: The validate action worked! I then tried restarting my computer but the problem persist Could you help me understand why the notarization validation appears successful, yet macOS still displays this security warning? Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Notarize taking 24+ hours to complete
I have been notarizing the same program for 3 years now and it's usually completed in minutes. I have not changed anything on my end, is there a reason it's taking 24+ hours all of a sudden? I have seen the posts regarding this issue for new applications where it has to "learn", but I have been notarizing the same apps for 3 years now.

Notarization Taking Days
Hello all, I am attempting to notarize my newly made Mac OS application using the notarization command in VS Code. "/Users/teejgotit/Desktop/Cursor Workspace/Rust CutContour v2/cutcontour-app/src-tauri/target/release/bundle/dmg/CC Studio_0.1.0_aarch64.dmg" \ --key "/Users/teejgotit/AppleCerts/AuthKey_MATVLX3.p8" \ --key-id "MATVLX9" \ --issuer "887ba428-aa39-4fb3-a3dc-f83b9145cab0" \ --wait Only to be met with a continual "Current State: In Progress.." for what has been about 1 day and 16 hours now. Current status: In Progress........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ My app and project are rather small and was curious if this is a normal thing for this to day takes for a first time notarization? Would love any help or feedback.

Issue Regarding Notarization
I am trying to notarize a simple app I made, but keep getting stuck on "In Progress". The app is a MacOS app, and I'm using XCode. I've tried all the steps listed in the links below: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/security/notarizing-macos-software-before-distribution https://developer.apple.com/documentation/security/resolving-common-notarization-issues I've had the same issue with another app, which got rejected after multiple hours. Never got to resolve this.

Notarization is not ever finishing
Hello, I had a successful attempt at notarization earlier today in my build pipeline. I've been using the same system for building my macOS application for over a year now. However, subsequent builds seemed to fail. I found a couple similar topics which makes this seem not not an isolated incident: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/782950 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/783347 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/783283 In my case I use the following command to submit the notarization: xcrun notarytool submit FilePath.dmg --apple-id "myappleid@gmail.com" --password "redacted_obviously" --team-id "my-team-id" --wait I left a previous run go for over an hour and the "Current status: In Progress.................. etc" filled the whole terminal. I manually checked the progress of the submissions using the command below: xcrun notarytool log --apple-id "myappleid@gmail.com" --password "redacted_obviously_again" --team-id "my-team-id" [run id] And they all result in the following output: Submission log is not yet available or submissionId does not exist Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there any possible solutions?

Notarization Stuck for Signed .pkg Containing Screen Saver
Hey all, I’m experiencing a consistent issue with notarizing a signed .pkg file that contains a macOS screen saver (.saver) bundle. Nothing online so far except 1 thread on the form from the altool time pre-2023 so i thought it worth another update. Here is what I did: I signed the .saver bundle using my Developer ID Application certificate. I packaged it into a .pkg using pkgbuild with my Developer ID Installer certificate: I submitted the resulting .pkg via xcrun notarytool: xcrun notarytool submit saver-name.pkg --apple-id email@email.com --password [app-specific-password] --team-id xxxxxxxxx The submission appears to be accepted and uploads successfully. However, the notarization status remains stuck at “In Progress” for hours (over 12h), with no update. I also tried: Repackaging the .pkg with a new name using a zip Resubmitting it under a new submission ID All attempts are stuck in the same “In Progress” state indefinitely. Did anyone solve this yet?

Notarization Fails: “The binary is not signed with a valid Developer ID certificate” for Flutter macOS App Plugins (file_picker, file_saver, url_launcher_macos)
Hi all, I’m trying to notarize a Flutter macOS app built in CI (GitHub Actions). The app builds and signs fine locally—codesign --verify --deep --strict and spctl --assess both pass. However, Apple’s notarization service consistently rejects the app with errors like: The binary is not signed with a valid Developer ID certificate: file_picker.framework The binary is not signed with a valid Developer ID certificate: file_saver.framework The binary is not signed with a valid Developer ID certificate: url_launcher_macos.framework What I’ve tried: Explicitly re-signing all frameworks with my Developer ID Application certificate and --timestamp Removing existing signatures before re-signing Ensuring correct entitlements and bundle identifier Matching the app bundle name and identifier in all places Using both codesign --deep and manual signing of each binary Local validation always passes, but notarization fails in CI Certificate: I am using a “Developer ID Application” certificate (not a “Mac Developer” or “Apple Development” certificate). The output of codesign -dvv for the problematic frameworks shows: Authority=Developer ID Application: [My Name/Team] ([Team ID]) So I believe I am not making the common mistake of using the wrong certificate type. CI Environment: GitHub Actions, macos-latest runner Flutter 3.27.2, stable channel All secrets (cert, Apple ID, app-specific password, team ID) are set up Questions: Has anyone encountered this with Flutter plugins or CI builds? Are there known issues with signing Flutter plugin frameworks for notarization? Is there a way to get more detailed feedback from Apple’s notarization service? Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated. I’m happy to provide logs, scripts, or a minimal project if needed. Thanks!

When to notarize artifacts developed in different stages?
Dear Apple Support, for better understanding to use the Notary Service, I would like to ask when and what have to be notarized. I am absolutely aware of using the Notary Service and which packages can be submitted and how to get the status. Scenario: We have one library which is developed by a specific team and other teams develop and deliver to customer MacOS apps which packages this library for the shipment. So, the library will be produced internally and will be shipped in different products. The library will be code signed before we make available internally. When should we notarize (and staple) this library? Directly after the code is signed or when it will be packaged in each product when it will be delivered to customer? Best regards, Stefan

All Notarization Requests Stuck "In Progress" for Over 48 Hours
Hello, We are currently facing an issue with the Apple Notary Service that is completely blocking our production pipeline. For the past three days, every single submission has been stuck in the "In Progress" state indefinitely. Some submissions have been pending for over 48 hours, and none of them ever proceed to analysis. When checking the status via xcrun notarytool history, all entries show "In Progress". Attempting to retrieve logs with xcrun notarytool log always returns: Submission log is not yet available. This strongly suggests that the processing hasn't even started. This issue occurs consistently from my local machine (MacBook Air M3) and Our GitHub Actions CI workflow. Both environments are properly configured with Electron + Electron-Builder, and the app is correctly signed and uploaded each time. We have verified multiple times all credentials and code signing settings, no exceptions so far or problems in the pipeline. Here are a few stuck submission IDs: This is not a normal delay, it looks like a backend issue affecting our account or this specific App ID. Please escalate this case as soon as possible. We appreciate your urgent attention. Best
